I don't believe Nintendo said Retro is making the DKC, they were very specific that monolith was making X. And at one point Iwata referred to the developers as "We" possibly indicating an EAD group making it. I think retro has yet to announce their game.

I was Really Really REALLY Surprised that retro was working on a DKC Sequal... They hired so many people, moved into a new building, Delayed even SHOWING the game last year for a WHOLE Year, just for it to become a sequal to DKC... rather surprising.

Why are people crying? What was you expecting? All the Nintendo Employees was busy making games as it is, was you expecting them to throw Metroid, starfox and F-zero out of no where? They showed pretty much what i was expecting,

Well, back in the day.. Twilight Princess (or 'Zelda 2005') was mindblowing. Super Mario Galaxy was amazing. New super mario bros caught me by surprise. Metroid Other M was something new and fresh and I loved it. The original 3D Land was a perfect fit for the handheld. DKCR was an awesome revival. I could go on and on, but I expected more mindblowingness.
