I think the tier list is biased. Someone pointed out, if Armada played Peach instead, Peach would be in the position that Pit is in, and that makes sense.

Oh, I thought you were accusing me of playing to the tiers and I was very confused. XD Yeah, I'm not sure why he's ranked so poorly. I'm not the best Smash player, and I'm doing fairly well with him.

Tiers only exisit as a guide to just how much more endowed a character's ability is over another. Mew2King ran a vast amount of "tests" to compare speed, strength and the like. That being said, how a player uses a character is still more important. Tier lists don't rank how well you'll play with a character. (I very much like Toon Link in PM myself).

least one of the biggest Melee players also plays brawl competitively to this day. And Brawl competitives play no items because that's how every smash game HAS to be played competitively. Once items are on, it's instantly not competitive any more because it's random. Great game. A bit dumbed down in design from its predecessor, but still easily enjoyable for its adventure design, besides at the time, we excused it because of all the work that went into building the world and tweaking unreal 2 to display it. We were certain that in the future, with all the heavy lifting out of the way, it would return to take the crown from Shock 2. Man we couldnt have been more wrong.
