No. I usually kill it in one hit with a fire move. Only one ferrothorn I fought was ever an exception. The only times I can kill Mega Venusaur in one hit is with a body slam after a belly drum from Azumarill and even then one survived.

Been playing it and it really does look like Yarn Yoshi as the assets look to be of a yarn texture. Also patches are everywhere.
