Reggie's appearance at VGX won't even be filmed I heard. Is this correct? If so, we will probably NOT see any announcements this saturday. DON'T GET YOUR HOPES UP.

I see. I'm a bit more hopeful now.
But if they were really going to announce anything huge, don't you think they would have released a press message like "exclusive premiere of a new generation of games" or something.. Nintendo themselves don't seem to be making a big deal out of it. I think we shouldn't read too much into it. However, I love to be proven wrong.

Nothing is wrong with Donkey Kong, but the way this appearance by Reggie has been pushed, a simple reveal of Cranky Kong or a new trailer for Donkey Kong is simply a bad marketing move given the time, demographic and state of the Wii U.

additionally, DKTF has been very accessible to fans ever since e3. We got a new trailer recently, and demos have been available at e3 kiosks and at Wii U Holiday experiences all across malls in the US. Also, GT TV did a full show on DKCTF last month talking to Reggie and Bill. Nintendo can push DKTF further in January with a direct and marketing, but now is not the time to build up a huge announcement or reveal only to see more DKTF.

This appearance of Reggie has not been pushed by Nintendo, but by fans. Chances are it's nothing amazing. Just don't be getting over hyped as that will only become disappointment, and I'm fed up with people saying how disappointed and angry they are at games...

Nintendo needs a curve ball, they can't just announce something for DKTF or Smash, those have been shown and discussed already. Nintendo needs to create excitement for it's future, not just for February and Spring/Summer.

I don`t know if it`s Zelda. What i know is that world premiere means - at least to me - something not seen before. I just hope it doesn`t read as unseen footage of an already shown game.

"world premiere" just means something spike get to show first, so it could be rosalina finishing a 3dworld level for all we know.
X isn't even as long in development as zeldou is.

You are right Nollog. It can also mean that (crossing fingers that it isn`t). There`s too much Zelda already. Give it some time to rest and let people want more. E3 is the best place for that. Speacially if the game is groundbreaking!
