Just about all of the actual games that they showed off at E3 2011 became actual games: Chase Mii and Battle Mii became Mario Chase and Metroid Blast in Nintendoland, the pirate rhythm game is going to be in Game amd Wario, and NSMB Mii is NSMBU. Ghost Recon Online seems dead now though, and there there was a little competative drawing game that didn't get much coverage. As for the Bird and Zelda Demos? That would be cool for a bit, but I would eventually get bored with it.

 

I think he meant that during the conference the demo's will be available for download at home.

Being playable until the conference ends.

 

I also think he confused it with last years Blizzcon where they talked about such an idea.

Guys, I know that this is a little bit off-topic but.. do you think we'll be able to play the demos that are available at e3, so us at home also get to try it out? I think i read that somewhere a while back!

E3 is for industry insiders only. However opening it to the public would increase venue popularity and strengthen the industry . They should do it.

Basically they want to show off their games, it's going to be weird to have to tune in multiple times instead. Maybe they can't fit in all their games under one big conference , but CAN if they pepper their announcements around E3. Who knows maybe the'll even announce some stuff on day one alongside Microsoft?

I actually really like this. If we're interpreting it correctly, then they'll just have presentations all throughout E3, just because they have more stuff to show, and don't want one big conference to do it in

Jus re-read everything, seems they are having "several" Nintendo directs before E3

 

Which means all the games will be announced before E3 so we'll get awesome at least a day before the Event!

Last year, I went there and saw one of the Disney workers with like 100 passes and I tried bribing him, but that didn't work..
