I personally traded my 3ds in for an XL and love it but just wondering what you guys prefer. Slightly sharper but smaller screen or larger screen with overall improvements?

I got a XL and am kind of glad I did. Large screen which happens to be just the right size, you can see it outdoors...

I prefer the original simply because I don't like how games look on the XL.

Yeah I kind of forgot about all the improvements over time but the are definitely for the better.

 

I'm thinking about getting the original again just to compare all the games against on XL but being a Nintendo handheld they keep their value so I don't know if it will be worth it.

i only own my ambassador aqua blue because i installed a capture card in it, I have a red Xl though

I pick 3DS XL.

More comfortable, 3D looks better, and the screens are easier to see. The only problem I find with it is the pixels are kind of big.

I played the regular 3ds but never owned one I own the blue 3ds xl and find it to be so much better than the regular 3ds the display is crystal clear.

The pros of an XL outweigh the pixels.

XL. The pixels are only noticeable if you have the thing in your face.

No. Sadly, the ambassador version sort of became my daughter's, then she wanted the pink xl. Meanwhile, I more or less got wrapped in work and furthering my education to really keep up with it. So, I screwed the pooch:(.

XL, I have no problems with the pixels. Also, the screen size seems much more normal.

The colors are better, the sound quality is so much more detailed, the screens are huge and the design is sexy.

 

Only problem I have is the bigger pixels and the low volume speakers.

I have an ambassador Aqua Blue, which won't go. If it ever breaks I will probably just upgrade to an XL (I loved my DSi XL).

Although I prefer how the original 3DS looks in terms of design.
