But we can hope ofcourse.. hehe
I think the WiiU will be around, €400.
The original Wii was €250, and the Wii was printing money. They learned from the 3DS, but they will take their chances at the Wii brand.
So than for being a powerfull console, let's add €100 shamelessly for being already late to the HD party.
Then add €50 for the WiiU controller. And let's add some free demo games, so people won't be to chocked by the price.
It also could be 350, that would be a really nice price.
But afaik, Xbox 360 and PS3 did also start at at least the price of €400 here in Europe.

300 euros = £290 = $440
400 euros = £330 = $500

I will only trade in my wii if I know for certain my VC games like majoras mask are able to transfer to an SD card and be played on the wii u. I'm not paying twice for them. Also, I have a bunch of 360 games I plan on selling to, maybe even my 360 as I now have a PS3 as a secondary console.Who is gonna trade in they're wii and some games to buy the U. I have 250 if I trade in my wii it should take 50$ off. Then I can buy if it's 300.
Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Currently, PlayStation 3s and Xbox 360s are being bundled at $300 and doing pretty well. To pull off an E3 2006 is not in Nintendo's best interest, and after what happened with the 3DS launch, I don't think Nintendo want to be doing another drastic price drop. Making the product affordable is key if Nintendo wants the Wii U to launch successfully, and $350 just sounds like a sweet spot for pricing.
