Are the controls genuinely that bad? I haven't played the demo myself... from the sounds of the review, she was just a bit rubbish at the game.
To be fair though, Kid Icarus got unfairly treated due to its control scheme, which I loved.
I still really want The Wonderful 101, a lot.

The controls are as tight as capcom/clover/platinums best. And there is an option for EVERYTHING, got a move you never like to use but sometimes accidentally draw it instead of something you want? You can actually turn the move off.

The drawing on the screen is self explanatory and simple (I dont like it because i dont want to take my hands off the controls), and with the right stick, its an improved version of okami's celestial brush.

The actual button controls are the best out there, but the game gives nothing to you, you earn everything. Anyone can stumble through the game like a chump, but, and you can already check this out on youtube, platinum/pure platinum runs showcases how deep the rabbit hole goes if you have the skills.

How much you can enjoy the game can literally be seen by how interesting it is to watch you play.

Apparantly Italians love it. Hmm... makes sense.

Some reviewers get all high and mighty. They think they have power to let their words manifest into peoples minds whatever they write, and in a way they do. They don't realize that sometimes all they are doing is nitpicking and being overly critical.

The game has had some decent scores so far and some bad ones. I can't wait to play it.

Only the big reviewers.

Isn't this the same lady that gave Xenoblade Chronicles a 7/10 in graphics because it wasn't on par with an Xbox 360 game graphically?

http://www.ign.com/a...ronicles-review

...yeah. Yeah it is. Take the review with a few dozen grains of salt, everybody.

you're right her opinion should never matter to anyone ever... again if she gave Xenoblade a game on a Wii a 7 for having bad graphics I just dislike her now

The number one thing everyone ALWAYS complains about in games is hand-holding.

So we get a bad score because there is no hand-holding, and because the game has a learning curve.

I don't get the complaint about the controls but from what I played on the demo the game felt like a solid 7 nothing really great IMO. I can't help and compare it to Pikmin3 since I played that and the demo back to back and I felt Pikmin to be so much smoother, better. Idk maybe the full game has something the demo can't really demonstrate but ill just wait till the price drops cause I can't see how this game deserves a day 1 purchase.

The only truly bad score.
And it's because of some French jokes.
Looks like this guy wants some hits for his website.

Well I think demos give the gamer a direct experience enough to judge for yourself. So I don't need any review to tell me if the game is good or not. I've been sold on game for a long time and demo just made thee decision concrete.

As quoted from NeoGAF:"Kamiya finally made it-a game that highlights who is capable of playing a horsing game and who isn't"

And it appears Mis(ster?) Keza MacDonald doesn't know how to play a Clover Action Game. Oh boy, I really wanna see her review of Bayo 2. She's basically insulting the hundreds and hundreds of hours Kamiya put into perfecting the game for the f****** graphics and controls. Her review of XenoBlade was the last straw. We really need a new Audrey. Maybe Jose?

She and that blisteredthumbs person gave the game a low score because of the fact they can't handle the difficulty curve of a Clover/Plat game.
