another issue is if the revolution succeeds there is a high chance it will become a Radical theocracy which is worse then a dictatorship, i believe many want a democracy but that doesnt mean they have much chance of getting it

that is how are nation is always viewed, if we dont act like the worlds police people get mad at us for not helping people, yet when we do help even the ones we help turn around in the end and take shots at us

Well I saw some Syrians in New York were protesting the Allies' intervention. If Syria feels the same way I guess everyone should stay out of it.

Thankfully, after a vote in westminster, the UK will not be getting involved. I'm glad because we don't need to be involved in another pointless, never ending war where there was very little evidence to support military action in the first place.

MOSCOW (AP) — The Russian foreign minister says Moscow will push Syria to place its chemical weapons under international control.

Sergey Lavrov said Monday that if such a move would help avert a possible U.S. strike on Syria, Russia will start work "immediately" to persuade Syria to relinquish control over its chemical arsenals.

Lavrov told reporters that Russia would urge Syria to concentrate its chemical weapons in certain areas under international oversight and then dismantle them.

Russian and Syrian foreign ministers on Monday strongly pushed for the return of United Nations inspectors to Syria to continue their probe into the use of chemical weapons and again warned Washington against launching an attack.

The statement comes as President Barack Obama, who blames President Bashar Assad for killing hundreds of his own people in a chemical attack last month, is pressing for a limited strike against the Syrian government. It has denied launching the attack, insisting along with its ally Russia that the attack was launched by the rebels to drag the U.S. into war.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after Monday's talks with his Syrian counterpart Walid al-Moallem that U.N. chemical weapons experts should complete their probe and present their findings to the U.N. Security Council.

"We have agreed to push for the soonest return of inspectors," Lavrov said.

Al-Moallem said his government was ready to host the U.N. team, and insisted that Syria is ready to use all channels to convince the Americans that it wasn't behind the attack.

He added that Syria was ready for "full cooperation with Russia to remove any pretext for aggression."

Neither minister, however, offered any evidence to back their claim of rebel involvement in the chemical attack.

Lavrov said that Russia will continue to promote a peaceful settlement and may try to convene a gathering of all Syrian opposition figures to join in negotiations. He added that a U.S. attack on Syria would deal a fatal blow to peace efforts.

Lavrov wouldn't say how Russia could respond to a possible U.S. attack on Syria, saying that "we wouldn't like to proceed from a negative scenario and would primarily take efforts to prevent a military intervention."

President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow would keep providing assistance to Syria in case of U.S. attack, but he and other Russian officials have made clear that Russia has no intention to engage in hostilities.

Lavrov also denied allegations that Russia may have sponsored a deal between the U.S. and Syria during the Group of 20 summit in St.Petersburg last week, where Putin discussed the Syrian crisis with Obama.

"There won't be and there can't be any deal behind the back of the Syrian people," Lavrov said.

Putin is not a Nazi. The Nazi state was totalitarian, Putin was voted in through democratic means and Russia is still a democratic country.

 

Anyway, I also hope this works for the sake of the US and France. If they attack then there is the possibility of China and Russia getting involved and I don't think any country would want to face either of them.

You're complaining about his actions. It's just stupid that the country that hates Obama most is America. Over the stupidest things as well. And every time americans are going  on they don't realize every one is just shaking their heads and hoping they shut up.

What's stupid is someone going to a DISCUSSION forum and complaining that people are discussing things, sharing opinions, etc.  So grow up a bit.  And Americans can't stand Obama because he is singlehandedly castrating the nation. with him as President, we have seen socialistic "health care reform" being shoved down america's throat. No voting. nothing.  NO ONE wanted it.  town hall after town hall begged and yelled to have it stopped. They wanted to vote on it. Nope. Obama doesn't care about the American way. then the Muslim Brotherhood gets billions in funding - also no proper legislative protocol involved. Cash for Clunkers hurt the economy even worse, and now the guys wants to fund Al Queda. you know... the group the prides itself in murdering innocent American, jewish, and British civilians... and don't even get started on the unaccountable "Czars" he set up. not voted into office and not public servants.  Literally not accountable to americans. Obama's "yes men." 

 

Those are hardly stupid things.  More like reasons for impeachment.  And derision.  

 

The entire world laughs at Obama.  Except the Muslims. they love the guy. Easy to do when his ideals are the same and he gives them "free" money.

- I don't remember Obama raising taxes for himself or his wife. and I don't see the overtaxation of those who work extremely hard to earn a lot of money as a good thing. 

 

- I don't remember bush "jumping in" on Iran.  And goign after terrorists who actually murder your people on your own land is a VERY different scenario.  Gee, I guess Bill Clinton and many other U.S. presidents would have just mindlessly "jumped in" too according the your "logic."

Even in my tiny post earlier I list many more than that.  the guy needs to get impeached.

 

He is a bad president, not matter how "gay" he is.

 

That's the problem.  some people see him support their lifestyle and they give him a pass on everything else.
