Meh, reading.
Compared to higurashi, umineko is terrible.
But it's good enough in it's own right.

Meh, reading.
Compared to higurashi, umineko is terrible.
But it's good enough in it's own right.


Anime wise that is true. I really enjoyed the Umineko visual novel though. I think the higurashi anime is actually better than the visual novel.

Umineko sort of lost it in episode 6 and 7, probably because Ryukishi's friend died. But it came back pretty strong in episode 8 and was even better that Ryu won't officially give the answers to the mystery.

But I have to agree that Higurashi is better. The anime is pretty great, but it does have some flaws. I actually just got Siren Visual's release of Higu Kai. I'm planning on ordering Siren Visual's Higurashi pretty soon.

And if you do, is it because you genuinely believe its bad?

I know of people who weren't as entertained by Clannad as they thought it would be, but I've never heard of someone hating it.

Unlike say, Naruto.

I took a dislike to it because it seemed like a harem anime.
Then it got a 25 episode sequel and I just couldn't be bothered watch any of it.

I liked clannad, but I hated it's magical timeskip/dimension hopping ending. Clannadman should have learned how to be responsible instead of making the universe change for him. The clannad movie had a good ending, but afterstory just threw out it's entire plot and purpose the last few episodes. So clannad was an adequate harem anime, as clannadman ends up choosing a chick. Afterstory was lackluster because of it's bullcrap ending.

Heh, I've learnt to not watch endings if I don't want to be disappointed.

Forgot to do that with Mirai Nikki though :|

The Japanese are really bad at endings.

The best I've seen was Ano Hana's ending. T'was epic.

It's pretty cool.
Kirito is harem material, but has no harem because loner.

Can't wait for the evil mastermind to be like "Tee hee hee no one actually dies in Sword Art Online, I made up those reports and really just wanted to be the world's most hated troll."
