Out of all the mario karts i have managed to play after playing this DD on 150cc, it reminded me why it's at the top of the mountain in terms of sheer fun and recklessness, for one it's just the partner system and and the powerups are really fun, (chainchomp).
This is why mario kart double dash is one of the best mario kart games, madness can happen in a blink of an eye, from one track, to a whole set of courses. Let's hope the wii u provides this fun as displayed..

Eh, I always felt DS was best, with DD a close second.
Games that refuse to use Gameplay effectively to do anything are like films that refuse to use cinematography in film to do anything.

I thought that MK: DD felt...broken. I played it, and it controlled weird. Like they didn't turn right.

The GC controller is my favorite controller of any system. xDI dislike the Gamecube controller, so based on that.

Double Dash!! is actually my least favorite Mario Kart. I really don't see why everybody likes it so much.

Double Dash was quite fun, but I found that its tracks were hit-and-miss. Some, like Dino Dino Jungle, were full of win; but a lot of them really weren't that exciting.
I'm split between Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii, personally. Both of them are filled with spectacular original tracks (Airship Fortress, Waluigi Pinball, Maple Treeway, Koopa Cape, the Wii Rainbow Road, Grumble Volcano, both Bowser Castles - the list just goes on) and feature 16 lovingly remade retro tracks. Not to mention that Mario Kart Wii's online is quite fun as long as you don't end up playing with a hacker. The choice of 4 controller options was also quite nice - I'm a GCN controller kind of guy.

I loved the GameCube controller. At first I thought it was kind of awkward, but after using it, it was the best controller I had ever held.

REALLY good online experience for me, and I just felt that the GCN controller was kinda weird, since I was born Wiiishly (I didn't have a GCN, just a GBA and a DS Lite). The DS controls also made me wonder what the heck since I played MKW first. Hopefully MK7 uses motion controls, if it doesn't, I'm sadly not buy it.

Ok, I agree with this. DD only lasted (on one player, atleast) until you'd completed every cup. MKW goes on and on because of online. BUT!! lvl design: DAISY CRUISER FTW!!! THAT LEVEL IS AWESOME!!! NO DENYING IT!!!Mario Kart DD was the best gameplay wise, IMO

Oh! one more thing: I didn't really like MKDS. Dunno why people love that one so much, its one of the worst I would say :/
AND I've just remembered another thing! MKW drifting sucks like hell
DDs drifting was immense
