Well I mean, listen, you don't go on Spike TV during a video game awards show to announce something mediocre. It's going to be something incredible, and something gamers of all ages will enjoy.
Plus, it won't hurt sales, that's for sure.

What if Reggie is just there to receive the Game of the Year Award since Super Mario 3D World is one of the nominees. If he's there to make an announcement I'll keep my expectations very low.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere he is going to be there to make an announcement, but I'm not 100% sure. If he does make an announcement, it's a pretty safe bet it will be about MK8, Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS, or Zelda Wii U. That's probably the safe route anyway, although it will be pretty cool if he announces something completely new and exciting. I'm definitely ready for this year's VGX.

So what does it mean? New look at an already announced game? A completely new game altogether? I don't know, but it's best that we keep our hopes down. Overhyping things is never a good idea, and it's completely possible that it'll just be the new DKC:TF character. New Zelda or whatever would be great, but let's just keep our hopes at their lowest. I have no idea why these companies overhype announcements that amount to nothing. It doesn't help in any way whatsoever.

Agreed. And Geoff said 'world premier', So its something thats been shown before, like teasers,but not had its official premier yet.

I got it. Hes going to show everything I REALLY want to see, X, Bayo 2, Zelda AND metroid, both a new prime AND a new 2d metroid, AND A brand new IP... AND Destiny coming to wii u.

A new look could also refer to when Nintendo was discussing Zelda on the Wii U and exploring styles while announcing Wind Waker to tide us over. The new look could actually mean, here is the new look we have for the future of Zelda on Wii U. Things can easily be taken out of context when reading into words and short sentences. Whatever the case is, I certainly don't think it's DKTF, and don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to Donkey Kong TF.

If what you are saying is true X isn't completely out of the question. Heck, we don't even know its actual name yet. All we've gotten are a couple trailers showcasing the world. And it deserves a "new look" because we know next to nothing about it.
