That page is just an overview. All I got out of it were a tiebraking protocol and one core has 4x the memory of the other two. Nothing really new.

from what i got it seems that Wii U cpu is of high quality and abillity it seems to be able to produce a higher number of floating-point performance and has a higher data transfer rate than other processors  based on Power PC architecture

They specified they made improvements to floating point over broadways paired singles. Thats news to me.

Aside from that its stuff to mantain coherency between the 3 cores, resolve conflicts, and talks about the caches which we already knew.

each cpu has its own level 2 catch so theres at least 12 x the bandwidth of broadway 

 

clock speed x 3 and double again for edram vs sram as edram is 2x bandwidth of sram = around 12 x the catch bandwidth of broadway theres also 12 x as much catch 256k x12 =3mb 

 

the cpu has dirct buses to both main ram and gpu edram 

 

with 4to1 peak data compression the catch can be 12 mb effective and the direct access to gpu edram allows a huge fast ram high bandwidth feed o the cpu core MUCH MUCH MUCH FAsTER THAN PS4s cpu set up???

 

each core has FIFO DATA BURST PIPES for high speed graphics data to gpu again with 4 x data compression ??

general core 4 stages flouting point 7stages 

 

jaguar pipeline stages 

 

general cores 16 stages flouting point 21 stages.....  expresso is 4 x shorter 

 

 

xbox360 cpu pipeline stages 32 to 40 longest in history  even longer than prescott pentium 4 witch was total AZZ 

 

10 X LONGER THAN EXPRESSO 

 

expresso cpu has th highest clock speed of any 4 stage risc cpu EVER and is exstreamly efficent 

 

 

around 12 x the cpu that broadway was

Heh. Speaking of cache's this confirms An increase to 4 way associative cache to L2 over broadways 2 way.

Wonder if the l1 increased in kind to 16 way.... Full? Nah, way too small.

Though couldnt imagine much of a need to, with the size of the caches, 8,16, and full associativity would likely be close to indistinguishable miss wise.

All i know is all that hardware allows games like Mario 3D, so if that's what can be produced so early in the machines lifespan then i can safely sit back and enjoy my wii-u, safe in the knowledge that i will be enjoying great playing, and great looking games, for the foreseeable future of the wii-u.

At least we finnally know for sure.  It truly is just a Tri core Broadway shrunk and over clocked with more cache.  Basically little more than ten times the power of the Gekko that powered the Gamecube, or six times the power of the Broadway that powered the Wii.  Should be just fine for most games.
