Mmmmm, it's such a gorgeous game... I think I've got the opposite problem from most people though... The highly compressed videos and screenshots often looked better for me. See, I've trained myself to look through compression, and since it kinda creates a false anti-alias effect, as well as masking some low-poly stuff, I see a better-looking game than what it actually is. xD But nah, it still looks amazing, and the lack of AA doesn't bother me at all. I can barely tell it isn't 1080p, but that's just because I'm sitting like 12 feet away from the TV. There's a few spots where some more detailed models/textures would make a big difference, but it doesn't ruin the otherwise amazing experience.

 

The most noticeable thing for me is on that one ice stage with sherbert in the name. The head of my character seems to go in and out of being blurry and pixelated depending on the lighting. :/

Sounds like you are noticing ambient occlusion artifacting.

Well that's true.

Feels kinda dumt to just play multiplayer in a game like this and not wanting to do good. Granted i just want to have fun racing but it's most fun if you compete with friends.

i don't think anyone could disagree that for a game like MK8 it's most fun competing against friends.

Finally got my copy.

The game is amazing and the slow motion moments are awesome. Some are even really funny.

 

And how can i forget the stares!? Hilarious!

Slow Motion is epic!  I use Donkey Kong (to throw my weight around) and on Toad's Turnpike, I used a mushroom boost right into Baby Rosalina, knocking her right into traffic, which in turn knocked her crazy again.  I went back and watched the replay in slow mo, and laughed my tail off!
