Kid Icarus Uprising launches in March so development would likley start in mid to late April along with the drawing board ( ideas for characters etc) and since they are making two games for the Wii U and 3DS I expect it to be released anywhere between late 2013 and mid 2015.

The Smash Bros. series has a tattered release schedule (3 years from 64 to Melee, 6 years from Melee to Brawl), and I think Nintendo needs a new Smash Bros. more than anything. I'd say it's most likely that it'll come out in late 2013/early 2014. At the very latest, it'll come out in 2014.

I say maybe the middle of the Wii U's life-span.

Some of you are saying 2016, which I completely understand, but at the same time I'm pretty sure Nintendo knows that the game is even now being highly anticipated. They don't want to pull another Brawl, where they keep delaying and delaying and delaying. I think they'll actually put effort into getting the game out faster than they normally would.

I say 2015. 2014 would be possible if they work EXTREMELY hard on it but 2015 seems more likely.

they should just cancel the 3DS version. cause they need to finish with Smash bros! I want a Icarus game after Uprising!
