Instead of putting money into developing some games they spent all their budget on Muppets of themselves. Bravo Nintendo, bravo.

Yeah, I guess they had no budget left over after the puppets. Yeah that's what they did. What a terrible business decision... All their resources... just gone like that...  <_<

Yea, tbh they really didn't even treat Starfox like a franchise we haven't seen in years. If they would have unveiled that last as the big surprise I think many people would have looked at the conference differently.

As goofy as it was I felt the intro was pretty hype and a good way to start the show and lead into SFZ. I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion but it really wasn't that bad. Certainly not marginally better or worse than Xbox or PS. We're just spoiled because last year Nintendo owned E3. I'm a little let down to because I expected the same as last year but there's some great games coming. Yes, along with crap... crap I don't want or asked for but ppl are really overreacting IMO. It wasn't mind blowing but not god awful as ppl are making it out to be.

I wouldn't say it was bad either, just very disappointing. I mean the amount of Wii U games shown was a disappointment, why didn't they show project treasure or fatal frame? They literally just showed a bunch of 3DS games which several of them include content from their originals. COUGH* ANIMAL CROSSING HAPPY HOME, ZELDA TRIFORCE GAME, HYRULE WARRIORS 3DS/LEGENDS* The whole conference was just messy and hard to follow. The one good thing I thought they did that wasn't messy was how they grouped all the Japanese-esque game together. Other than that, after Star Fox till the end it was just sloppy.

no it was bad. no way around that.  Nintendo screwed themselves announcing NX... now all speculation is Wii U games are being moved over there and they arent wasting resources on a "DEAD" console. They continually show that no matter how good their developers are as far as management, PR, and marketing.... they are in trouble. they need help

I put them into two totally different categories though. This is a digital even where you have no live crowd to try and please. All the viewers are asking is that when i start watching your direct show me the games.... and they just dropped the ball big time. no way around it that was bad. Starfox looks cool because it reminds me of 64 a lot but ... that was it. as a Wii U owner nothing else excited me.

Like I said in another thread, Nintendo's lackluster event this year was comparable to their boring E3 presentation in 2003 where many of the games shown were already announced before E3, a very disappointing reveal (Pac-Man Vs.), and pushing an unnecessary gimmick (GC-GBA link).

I am really disappointed in Nintendo. I fell asleep watching the event. Nintendo is showing they have nothing for the Wii U.

Next year they better have an amazing year because by gone they need more heavy hitters.

Here's how I see it... Either Nintendo has the deadest of brains, or this is the end of the Wii U.

Either they just decided not to show anything about Retro's game because it's not completely polished (huge mistake, having only one big reveal, one that we already know about (Star Fox) will not make fans happy), or they didn't show it because it's an NX game (Meaning the Wii U is dead).

I think Retro could have easily saved this E3. They teased it. It was time. But what do we get? Nothing. I just don't see how anybody could let that fly.

Next year will probably be the NX reveal... I really don't want it, it's way too early to be releasing a new system, but if they don't talk about it in a big way, people will get really mad. I think the Wii U's time has come. We'll get Zelda U as the final hurrah. I don't necessarily believe in the whole Twilight Princess all over again theory, though...

The NX will probably replace the Wii U. You're correct, more than likely, as much as it pains me to say it. I was hoping to have one more good year for the Wii U.

Yeah. Of course, we're still getting Mario Maker, Yoshi, Zelda U, Xenoblade for those who are interested, and maybe another new title before it's done? I dunno. But a late 2016 NX release is looking more realistic now. :/

Nah I still think it will be a 2017 release. Next year Nintendo will reveal the console and release it the following year as they have always done with new consoles. Until it's released we will get a few unannounced smaller Wii U games and Splatoon/MK8/Smash Bros. DLC.

So here's Reggie damage controlling the entire event and denying that Iwata was apologizing for the whole disaster. Just your typical PR bs.

'We hear you and we are committed to continuing to meet your expectations'

At least Reggie acknowledges that our expectations of Nintendo are low.

This statement is false. The previous statement is true.

RIP in peace Nintendo.
