Mario Kart U

Think about it. It's a hardcore franchise that would have generated quite an amount of hype. But it still has absolutely MASSIVE casual appeal even YEARS after release. Just look at Mario Kart Wii and DS, they still sell even to this day. Getting a Mario Kart out for Wii U in the launch window would have been a great move for both core and casual gamers.

Hi, my name is Alph. I live on a planet named Koppai. I am famous for saving my planet from starvation. My best friends are Brittany and Captain Olimar, NOT Captain Charlie. I like surfing the KopNet and playing Kopetball.

Even though I have no doubt that there will be a Mariokart game, we can't know for sure that it will be here soon, unless something has been said that I've missed out on? In which case, disregard this entire post

It's much more of a casual game than it is a core one.I think Nintendo could have done with announcing Mario Kart U at E3 actually...

With the community system they added in MK7 they can easily just improve on that idea so that you can play without the blue shell if you wish.Removing blue shells would make this an instant buy for me.

Well that's a great idea now you mention it.

Leader Shells are f-ing awesome!!!!! Take those out and I along with every one of my friends WOULD NOT BUY IT.
I think they're unfair. I try hard to get the damn first place using actual SKILL and then because some Mcguffin is lucky, I lose my position.
Red shells you can actually defence yourself against. You always find a banana or something.
Green shells require slight skill to be effective.
Bananas/false blocks require skill to be placed correctly.
Mushrooms require 'skill' to use them in tactical places.
Bombs require aiming skills to throw (or have a good timing and place them behind you)
But you can do NOTHING about a blue shell and it makes everything just really unbalanced.

If you are skilled, dodge the damn things. I did it in an official Nintendo tournament 3 times on a track and won against players on par with me (records and line-wise) due to that.
And Nintendo doesn't always hoard all domains that might be useful. I got mariokartwiiu.com myself last year but dropped it because of Nintendo going the "U"-way. Get the domain if you want, it's still free I think
