Club Nintendo of America has revealed the prizes that are up for grabs if you've collected enough Club Nintendo coins. For the people that got 600 coins or more there are two Platinum-exclusive options this year. First is a set of three posters featuring promotional art from Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and Kid Icarus Uprising.

The other Platinum-only option is a new set of Mario-themed playing cards boasting some fairly ornate graphic design.

The Gold-level prizes, for users who earned at least 300 Coins before June 30, are once again headlined by a calendar. It's the standard Gold gift every year it seems, and this year's version should include artwork of Wii U launch software like Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U. I say "should," since the company hasn't revealed any images of it yet – just like every year, we'll have to wait until closer to 2013 to see what the 2013 calendar will look like. (Platinum status earners can also select the calendar instead of the posters or cards, if they choose.)

Platinum and Gold users can also choose a free digital download, with the choices of Super Mario Kart and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask from the Wii Virtual Console, Metroid II: Return of Samus from the 3DS Virtual Console and Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again! from DSiWare (only redeemable on a 3DS, though).

I think I am disappointed by the fact that I only managed to get Gold this year. I have enough calendars as it is.

I got platinum this year, and I have to say, this is quite disappointing compared with last year's. I'll probably get the posters.

I like the Playing Cards more, but I could put the Posters in Frames.

There are also 4 games to choose from for download for no charge of money or coins, these include Super Mario Kart-Wii, Metroid II:Return of Samus-3DS, Mario vs Donkey Kong: Minis March Again-DSi/3DS, and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask-Wii.

I was so Excited to find out what the platinum award was going to be, but ugh seriously Nintendo?? Playing Cards or Concept art posters??
sigh... might as well get the Cards i suppose.. =/

I like the posters, but I already have six other posters that I've gotten from Club Nintendo already on my wall. I'm not sure if I can make space for any more. :/

i chose the cards i have no room/use for posters and i love playing hearts so yeah

Well what the last rewards guys? Posters that aren't in stores and cards that are designed to look cool. wow you guys are picky. I feel like I'm at Sonic Retro.

I chose the posters because Dark moon's poster looks really awesome. I also tend to lose playing cards a lot... Still would liked something a bit more durable then posters though. Like another figurine. Welp there is always next year.

I'm going to get Metroid 2 (Gold status), however its telling me I already claimed me I don't qualify, so I contacted support.

While I do like to defend Nintendo over CN stuff (Cause as we all know they don't have to do this), I do get why people are angry. I mean, you have to be envious of Japan and their 8-bit Mario pillow platinum reward
