Usually, as many of you might know, Nintendo Direct airs every two months. The last ones were:

• 1st Edition (October 21, 2011)
• 2nd Edition (December 27, 2011)
• 3rd Edition (February 22, 2012)
• 4th Edition (April 21, 2012
• Pre-E3 Edition (June 3, 2012)
• 5th Edition (June 22, 2012)

See, since last year's October we've been having a Nintendo Direct show every two months, and Nintendo usually announces these within 24 hours. Judging by previous editions it would either be on the 21st or 22nd this month. But it's already the 21st of August and there's still no sign of this month's edition. I was expecting an enormous amount of news about the Wii U, including confirmed launch titles, price and future 2013 titles for every region (and some 3DS tidbits too). So, what the hell is going on?

As far as I'm aware, they never specifically said that they'll have one every two months. That's just how it happened.

Not a huge issue, honestly. If it doesn't happen, it doesn't, but if it does, hoorah. :T

Yeah, but we've had at least one every two months so it looks like that's what Nintendo's aiming at. Since it's only Monday today we still have the rest of the week to get any news from Nintendo. I really hope they announce the price sooner rather than later.

Has Nintendo already talked about the supposed September conference? It would make sense that they'd make a ND in September, since there's always a Nintendo Setp. conference.

Actually, Nintendo Direct in North America tend to happen eevery 4 Months, so i can imaging October being the sweet spot too.

I think they're waiting for an actual conference, then do a small Direct before/after it with additional info.

But if GameStop will start taking Wii U pre-orders on the 28-29th then we should have a price announcement before that.

probably because they're waiting for a September press conference to do their big, final Wii U reveal. Though I did expect a 3DS Nintendo Direct at the end of this month.
