Rofl. This is my first pre order as well. Usually I camp target all night lol

I always go to GameStop. They keep the mall open for us so everyone can wait inside. No need to worry about weather when I order stuff from them.

I'm really stoked for this launch! I was in about the 4th or 5th grade when the Wii came out, so this is the first ever non-handheld launch I'm going to!

Really? Young gamer, I was in 3rd grade I believe with the Nintendo 64 came out, so I've seen 2-3 more gaming generations.

But anyways, this is my first console launch still, normally I don't get consoles on launch day.

Update on midnight launches at GameStop. Seeing as both models of the Wii U are sold out across the country at retail and online GameStop stores. It's highly likely that most GameStops in the country will be having a Wii U midnight launch. This idea likely connects to most other stores as well.

I sincerely hope my GameStop does a midnight launch for Wii U. Never been to one. Even the 3DS didnt have a midnight launch over here.

My local GS seldom has midnight launches, but they did say they were doing one for the Wii U. I'm almost positive your GS will.

Here in uk/Ireland I waited all night to get an oh so rare wii.The shop opened in the morning at 8 to tell us that they only had four consoles not accounted for.That left at least 60 people looking rather grim but I was 2nd and got mine.Then refused an offer of 700 euro for it as I left the store.The wii was ok but just not for me.I regretted not taking the money to be honest.I had a waterproof jacket and a flask of tea which was a lifesaver that night.Hoping for a good midnight launch in belfast.Last time was in the republic of Ireland and we had a great laugh before they let us know there was only four wiis

I got a bad feeling about Launch Day for Wii U at my store, he pratically told me they had more Wii U pre orders than what they were going to receive. Im getting there super early

Ahh!!! I don't know about my New Game Stop because I just moved last July so I hope there will be a Midnight Launch! I think they only are getting 10 Deluxe Systems for Launch, I was first 10.

Please read. They said only 10 DELUXE Wii U's could be more. They didn't say how many Basics as I have no idea.. Also, not sure if they ment what they said, it could vary from different locations.

Welp, I have about 300 down on the Wii U deluxe and NSMB U so far. It's gonna come out to about $440 for everything, but I'm not complaining.

This is going to be my first midnight launch myself, but I know what to expect. I'm gonna turn up around 4pm with blankets, raincoats etc, as the guy at the checkout today said there has been a lot of preorders on this, so I just know there's gonna be people early xD
If it's chucking buckets of rain, there's a few places I can find shelter, so I'm not too worried

Nice week lined up wii u paid for (just have to find money for 2x additional games) and in Amsterdamon holiday until the thursday morning before release on friday!
@sourapple lol done it for the wii it wasnt opening until 8 am so queued from around half 7 the night before rain wind and all that.Flask a good waterproff jacket and it was fun.Felt a bit bad the next morning when they openend and came out and said only 4 wiis non pre ordered to be had felt bad for some of the others who must have queued like 6hrs

Show up early! Bring lots of money if you wanna go shopping elsewhere

That depends what country you live in because the wiiu is region locked if I rembered correctly. So you may want to make sure your getting it for the right region..
As for what to do either spend the day there or go back every once in a while to see how big the line is.
