Hey guys, the totally lickable Auzzie here.

Just wanted to ask whether the previous eShop cards (once that only say DSi, Wii and 3DS on them) are also compatible with the Wii U. I don't think I've seen the new ones in stores yet.

If it doesn't use point value I assume it will, but I don't really know how things work over there in Australia.

I don't think they are. I think that they are their own thing, but you may as well try.

As far as i know they are compatible as both are nintendo eShop, however the amount can only be used on either the 3DS or Wii U eShop at one time, the amount stays with the version of eShop you reedeem it with. You cant switch them between Wii U to 3DS and vice versa.

At least you guys get cards, in the UK no shop has them and even Amazon UK seems to of never heard of them.....................

Actually we do. We have them in £15 and £25 amounts. Though I wish they had more pre-paid cards instead of just those two amounts.

I swear to you now I've never seen them everywhere I go I can't find them, I couldn't download stuff on the 3DS because it wouldn't accept my debit card details an I couldn't find cards anywhere.

ikr. which is why we need more sections to the forums, and a specific one for Questions to get answered like 3dsforums.com has, the q&a forum is the only part I still use.

Well, from my knowledge, they made cards for the Wii U, but in the US, the cards are for both 3DS AND Wii U. So I'm going to assume if they work for the 3DS, they'll work for the Wii U as well.. But you should call customer service just in case.

They are usually located in the gift card sections of stores like Tesco and Asda.
