Can the Wii U open PDFs or other Text Documents?

Hello,

Can the Wii U or the Gamepad be used to open PDFs or any other type of text document?

If I inserted an SD card with a PDF, will it appear on the TV or Gamepad? Could anyone test this for me and please advise.

No.

PDF's are closed source, so I wouldn't count on it ever, maybe texts, probably not rich texts.

How about .EPUB? Lots of eBooks these days sold on places like Amazon and iTunes are this format.

Never heard of it.
There's no ereader application on the Wii U right now, so I doubt it.

So I put an SD card with a .epub or .pdf it just would not be openable? Can someone test dat? It might open in a Photo app.

Don't think there is a photo channel/app.

Nope.
Not even sure where i'd go to try and use them.
Nothing I tried works, and there's no photo or sound channels/applications.
