Since the Wii Remote works with the Wii U, then the Wii Wheel does as well ( considering it's only a piece of plastic). Obviously it's not intended to work with every game. Games that do support it include Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing, Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed ( not sure), and Mario Kart Wii.

As mentioned its just a piece of plastic that houses the Wii remote when playing so it will work just fine. The only games it will work with are those that use the Wii remote in a horizontal position as a steering device. Pretty much any racing game that supports this will support the wheel.

All periferals are if your playing Wii games I think.
