Takahashi on X: "Vehicles are called Dolls. They are 5 Times larger than a person. So to get the same feel as Xenoblade Chronicles, the map would need to be 5 times bigger. The game world in X is in fact even bigger than that."

The hype levels are rising. You know it's gonna be good when Sakurai keeps pointing it out left-right-and-centre.

 

I would turn off comments too if it was full of crap and unwarranted hate. That stuff detracts from what they are trying to do, they want to advertise and sell a product and having negative comments counters that. YouTube comments are not the place to try and appeal to a company anyway you will not be taken seriously. YouTube comments are a cesspool they always have been, they still are now, and they always will be no matter what Google tries. So to listen to anything being said on there is pointless.

This had nothing to do with Nintendo not being able to take criticism. This to do with Nintendo trying to run a business and not wanting hateful, non-constructive criticism on display with a video that is trying to promote their product.

I think the box art is great, a lot more exciting than some other recent Nintendo titles. 

 

I'm so excited for this game. I love Donkey Kong Country and can't wait to play as dixie again. I really hope the fourth playable character isn't Kiddy. I want it to be someone we've never played as before in the Country series, preferably Funky.

 

Anyway, what do you think of the box art and who else is hyped for this game?

If Nintendo stops making hardware, I will quit console gaming all together and stick to PC. This is the reason why Halo, Mario, and Uncharted all looks so good and do so well. Because the developers truly understand the system, the system was literally built with those games in mind. Nintendo is the master of utilizing their hardware. Just look at DKC for wii, it looks like it could be a 360 game! And SS also looks truly amazing!

When the xbox 360 launched, it was a flawed console. It broke down, had low quality games, and required a wifi adapter to play online. It should have been scorned by the community, but it wasn't, why? Because it was first to the market by roughly a year. It was the most powerful and interesting machine for a year. Then why did it stay relevant afterwards? The Ps3 was more powerful, the wii had more exclusive games, the 360 essentially had nothing going for it. Of course it was cheaper than the ps3, and had a few hits like halo, overall it had the least exclusives, and wasn't quite as powerful as it's twin. Why did it stay relevant, and why does it still outsell the ps3 in some regions? Simple the Xbox effect. I myself own a ps3, but most of my friends and family prefer the Microsoft variant. They prefer it because more people have it, more people have it because it was launched a year earlier than the competition. As a result of the headstart, the 360 had a snowball effect. Three friends buy it before the ps3 comes out, then their three friends want to play with their three friends, so they buy an xbox. It also helped that playing with their friends was easier on xbox live. I even asked my friend, who is impressed by the games on playstation, what system he would get next gen. He ( not a nintendo fan) said the new xbox, simply because more people would have it. He likes playstation exclusives, and yet the quantity of people is enough to buy an xbox.

So your probably wondering what this has to do with the Wii U? Well here it is, the Wii U will be out for about a year before the playboxs get to the market. I believe that If nintendo can get a decent online system, they can become the gamer console of choice. Nintendo has enough first party games to keep their fans happy. But if they can  make a decent online component, get a multiplayer game like black ops 2, then they can get a huge initial install base before the other consoles even hit the market. And when they do, people will want to play with their friends. So they will buy a Wii U instead. I sincerely hope this happens.

Hey guys.  So I'm a bit bummed that there hasn't been any information on a Paper Mario for the Wii U.  While Paper Mario: Sticker Star for the 3DS does look cool and all, I prefer the series on the big screen.  So, I decided to create a fake screenshot for what I'd like Paper Mario U to look like.  I've always wanted a Paper Mario game that places more creative emphasis on the style it's based on, like Kirby's Epic Yarn for example.  None of the Paper Mario games so far really look paper at all.  They just look 2D and that's a big difference.  So, here is my screenshot, inspired by the Paper Mario: Sticker Star artwork:
