#249312 Sonic Boom, New Sonic the Hedghog series coming to Cartoon Network in 2014

Posted by Doc on 02 October 2013 - 08:14 AM

Wait a minute.... THAT'S KNUCKLES???
I swear I thought it was gonna be a new character for the cartoons or something...

...

wait what, 11 minutes only? So it's gonna be like some comedy short?

Cut me out.

BTW, I still don't think that's knuckles, look at his hands. Oh wait, they have a cone-shape on them.

Dammit, THEY BETTER NOT RE-DESIGN KNUCKLES INTO THAT.

I SWEAR. THE BETTER NOT USE THAT KNUCKLES DESIGN INTO THE GAMES. That's maybe why the didn't want to show knuckles in lost world, maybe because he has a new design. That I think is terrible.

What the heck is with the height differences between Knuckles and everyone else? I can get behind the other design differences like Amy and Sonic (Can't see anything to suggest Tails has an altered design) but Knuckles...hes so tall, not to mention his gloves actually show fingers.

Guess it's time for me to go into my "cautiously optimistic" mode.

And this is the thanks Nintendo gets for allowing Namco develop the next Smash Bros...

#247608 Masuda- "I love Pokemon Snap...We may have something down the road"

Posted by Envy on 23 September 2013 - 05:41 AM

Turn it into a straight-up adventure game, as opposed to the literal on-rails that the original was.

If done properly, it could turn out to be the best Pokemon spin-off ever made. Not that I've played many since Generation I, I guess. lol I'm just glad that he sees that they can't rerelease the original. It was fun when I was 11 years old, but I'd need something much more in-depth to grab my attention and money now.

#247518 WayForward wants to make a "Pony" game

I'D TOTALLY BUY IT!!! MLP FTW!!!!!!

On a more serious note, that's pretty cool but seriously those comments on that site  eg:

They Should put this on Xbox One, because thats where garbage belongs [sic]

I swear, MLP haters suck lol.

#247357 Shin’en: It’s not the hardware’s fault if devs can’t create good looking games

Nintendo needs to have Shin`en make an engine for Wii U to be used in some games. Talent is something they do not lack.

I'd rather have an AR Pokemon Snap on 3DS, but I'm happy with anything.

#245281 Ubisoft shuns Wii U time for a Proactive Nintendo...3rd parties don't care

Posted by GAMER1984 on 10 September 2013 - 07:35 AM

You guys are making too big of a deal anyway. I really only consider this a loss of one game. There are 3 that could(well they all could have been but you know what I mean...probably) have been on Wii U but Assassins Creed Liberation HD is only on PS3 Xbox 360 and PC, it's not on any of the new consoles. Child of Light is only coming to the newer consoles and it includes Wii U. The only one they really skipped Wii U on was valiant hearts.

Actually its coming to xb360 and ps3 also plus PC

Mario (Consists of 3D mario, NSMB, Mario and Luigi RPG, Paper Mario, Mario sports games etc), Zelda, Metroid, Pikmin, Starfox, F-Zero, Kid Icarus, Fire Emblem, Kirby, Pokemon (Main games, Mystery Dungeon, Ranger, Stadium type, Rumble), Yoshi (Yarn Yoshi, Yoshi Touch and go), Donkey Kong country, Wario Ware, TW101, Animal Crossing, Super Smash Bros, Punch-Out, Xenoblade... small amount of IP's? Heck add the Wii series to that list (wii sports, Wii Party, Wii Music etc), or even the new IP they are creating and Plus Monoloth Soft X. What rock have you been living under the past console generation? ALL of these IP's i've stated have either been on the DS, Wii, 3DS or Wii U.

I don't have a problem with the IP's Nintendo has... But publishers do. If I'm a publisher and I ask myself I want to bring a core 3rd or 1st party shooter game to Nintendo console is there a market for such game? My "people" will porbably advise me against supporting them. I can look at microsoft and sony platforms and see they have millions of people willing to buy a shooter and play online together becuase we just saw their 1st pasrty devs release a 1st aparty shooter that sold millions and have a strong online coMmunity... Can I say the same for Nintendo? I'm over blaming publishers and devs for every game not releasing on Nintendo platforms in relaity they are making sound business that really make sense.

The link is blocked for me. Can someone tell me the two games that aren't coming and why?

Assassin's Creed Liberation HD — This is confirmed for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC

Valiant Hearts: The Great War — Coming to PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC

These are the two games and no reason was given.

That would be complete and absolute suicide for Nintendo.

I don't believe so. There are core Nintendo fans that will but "ANYTHING" with Nintendo's name on it. They have to gamble and invest in future IP's. Sony's Killzone wasn't successful on PS2... But they stuck with it and grew the IP and now its a staple in their console lineup. They didn't just try and give up after it didn't sale well on ps2. Nintendo needs to take more chances... Smart chances.

Basically, low install base. Ya I don't really mind much, I only get annoyed when they say stupid idiotic things like "Ooh it's not powerful enough" or "We just haven't spoken to Nintendo about putting it on the Wii U (Or ever will speak to them)"

#244154 Mega Kanto starters announced

Posted by TheUltimateWaddleDee on 04 September 2013 - 08:38 AM

Mega Blastoise: I have 3 water cannons! Better shoot water from my mouth!

I want to pick Charmander, but I will probably pick Squirtle so I can get the Torchic from thr event and Chespin as my starter so I can have all my bases covered in the behinning.

#244140 People are raging about the Poke Bank, lol.

Posted by Portal on 04 September 2013 - 07:14 AM

It's 500 yen a YEAR. Give or take $5 stateside. Not a day, not a week, not a month, but a WHOLE YEAR. Pretty dang cheap if you ask me. Free is always better, but this really ain't much of a problem. You can always use that free trail period to transfer anyway.

#243636 Bethesda: Nintendo didn’t engage third-party enough before Wii U reveal

Posted by GAMER1984 on 02 September 2013 - 11:22 AM

Why should it not be "This is a box we made, you should make games on it"? Of course Nintendo should help 3rd parties develop games for the console but I don't see why Nintendo should change their product just to suit third parties. They don't need to have the approval of third party developers, they should be able to whatever they want because it is their product.

Lots of people fail to realize how much "in bed" sony and microsoft are with 3rd party companies. Nintendo will never be able to get the support sony or especially microsoft gets. Nintendo made it so easy for developers this time around for Wii U. You have a pro controller and the gamepad is a "controller first" with a screen. How hard is it to put your hud on game pad a la mass effect 3 and batman arkham city or just make the game and give it off tv play and its done. But all I hear are developers complaining they have no idea how to use the gamepad. As far as architecture goes yes Wii U is different from ps4 and xb1 which are almost identical really they are nothing more than pc's with sony and microsoft on them. So yes nintendo should contact developers and get some opinions on the system and how they can do better to make development easier. I just don't think that should be to the extent that they base their whole console around what 3rd party developers want. Its goes both ways and IMO developers want Nintendo to give far more than they are willing to give in return. Its shall be interesting to see how the rest of this gen plays out.

#242641 Iwata slowly making his way out?

Posted by GAMER1984 on 29 August 2013 - 11:07 AM

I say this with respect but its time. I love iwata and believes he belongs somewhere in the company. He just doesn't understand the western gamer or market. He isn't willing to make the big decisions that might stwp out the box a little bit and help move the company forward. We need new management and let NOA loose a little bit and actually make decision that would benefit me.
