#202548 Nintendo PR Lists Super Smash Bros 3DS As ‘Coming Soon’

Posted by routerbad on 01 May 2013 - 01:45 PM

super smash bros 4  on wii u and 3ds will require both of them to finish 100%  to get all unlockables,

Super Smash Bros. Wii U / 3DS is an upcoming Wii U and Nintendo 3DS video game in the Super Smash Bros. series. It is being developed by Namco Bandai Games, and directed by series creator Masahiro Sakurai. The game was announced at E3 2011 by Nintendo President Satoru Iwata. During the presentation he confirmed that both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game will feature some sort of cross-platfrom connectivity.

Cross platform connectivity =/= requiring both versions to complete.  You are going extremely far out on that limb.

#200032 The Official "Should Iwata Step Down" Poll thread

Posted by Byakuya Togami on 25 April 2013 - 05:31 PM

It's already apparent that Iwata has improved since the 3DS launch (one of its big problems was lack of first party software from the beginning, Wii U fixed that), and the holiday season should give Nintendo a needed boost. I don't think that Iwata has really made any critical mistakes in all honesty. All consoles go through their rough patch in the beginning.

Also, better people in the marketing team would be pretty helpful.

#199717 No Nintendo presentation at E3

Posted by routerbad on 25 April 2013 - 06:40 AM

I can’t understand this. E3 is about shouting from the rooftops not whispering behind closed doors. Why even bother going if you’re gonna do that? i mean the PS4 and 720 are gonna be the focus this year no matter what, but especially with the Wii U struggling, people may see this as Nintendo giving up. I'm not sure what Nintendo is thinking these days.

I think Iwata has lost the plot and can’t help but think they are shooting themselves in the foot here.

Having said that they may have been forced to do this after showing off many games in their January Nintendo Direct for Wii U and last weeks ND for 3DS – they simply might not have enough new content to show off that warrants a big E3 presentation,

Think about what the hour long presentation is usually focused on.  Most of the time much of that hour is spent with market statistics, very little of it is spent on games.  They are taking the investor relations stuff, putting that in a different meeting with investors, they are taking the distribution related stuff, and talking about it with distributors.  Then they are taking the software announcements, and splitting them up to make separate pitches, one to fans, and one to non fans (or several to each, i dunno).  This means that all of the information they present to us will be about games, not statistics, and not stuff we care little about (but will learn about anyway through news aggregates and leaks) but glorious games.

Not sure what to think or what I'm supposed to think. I don't care who's in charge as long as I still get the games I want.

#196386 Nintendo Direct brought the big guns on 3DS, but the Wii U......Forgetful?

Posted by Gaymer on 17 April 2013 - 09:40 PM

Jesus. It's like no one has any patience anymore. This is how it ALWAYS is when you're a first adopter. Anyone whining should've waited until more games released before they caved in and purchased the console early. I can't wait until these complaints are gone by the end of the year. It's sickening. If after a year things don't change, then feel free to say the Wii U is doomed. (Just like the Vita is right now.)

#194021 The New Pokémon Revealed Last Week Is Indeed A Form Of Mewtwo

Posted by Zinix on 13 April 2013 - 06:30 AM

Japanese magazine CoroCoro Comic has confirmed that the new Mewtwo-like Pokémon, which The Pokémon Company revealed last week, is indeed a new form of Mewtwo. The new form, which remains unnamed, will appear in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y – both of which will be released in October, exclusively for Nintendo 3DS. Now that you know it’s a form of Mewtwo, what do you think of the new Pokémon?

It was kinda of obvious that this was new Mewtwo form.

#190049 Wii U port of Deus Ex: Human Revolution "is sharper than the PC version...

Posted by Gaymer on 04 April 2013 - 06:40 AM

I'm on the Deus Ex official Facebook and the number of PC, PS3 and 360 fanboys that are butthurt because this isn't getting ported to their consoles is absolutely incredible if you're on facebook check it out!

And these are the very same people who whine about Nintendo consoles never having any games aside from Mario. Typical.

#187758 Wii U won't be getting Unreal Engine 4

Posted by Robotic Sunshine Commander on 29 March 2013 - 11:35 AM

Nintendo will be just fine! My god people are ridiculous! Epic needs to get their thumb out of their arse and start developing for the U since it will have the biggest install base. UE4 isn't anything to brag about, its UE4 with some slightly better effects and made for more difficult hardware to work with . Wii U games will probably actually look better in some cases because of the fact that developers will pretty much just use their old engines and refine them for wii u .

WII U IS NEXT GEN PEOPLE STOP WHINING

the wii u is a bit cr_p, its going to be good for VC on the gamepad and zelda, sorry but thats it

LOL because one engine with no games working on it means Wii U has no third party games? u have to be kidding!?

Well, time to sell this piece of _h_t while i still can. wii u next gen lol!

Thanks for your input, troll.  Regardless of what you think, the Wii U is in the 8th generation of gaming consoles.  Next gen it is, irrespective of capability, clock speeds, FLOPS, etc.

I hope you are able to sell it to someone who will enjoy it.

I love how when there are positive Wii U threads, most people (like GAMER1984) ignore them, but any type of negativity, and the doom and gloom people come rushing in to talk about how much trouble Wii U is in. Hmmm...
