But moving on. I like the added buttons and im glad they move the volume button to the top. It will stop the volume from getting turn up when playing a game.

It sucks that the faceplaces arent going to be on the XL one tho. I like the normal 3ds but it was just a bit to small for me.

I have to correct you on this. The data is actually printed in the clear polycarbonate layer. The top aluminum layer is there to reflect the laser (the artwork is printed on another layer on top of that), so if it's missing in spots, the laser goes through and the drive can't read the disc.

 

The reason the disc can get scratched and still be read is because the data is not located in the very surface of the polymer.

I have just always went on it being that top layer but its the layer under that. The bottom is the clear part. You can see all the layers  on old disc

Yes the data is stored on sliver top layer.
If that part gets messed up its all over.
The bottom of the disc is the clear layer,  it can get scratch to hell and then you can buff it out to be clear and readable again.

How the hell can 30 fps be better than 60 fps IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE?!? I don't even need to explain how it's better, more frames = better. There's no way around that.

its not better but it does let them add more.

i.e.  30 fps you might have 100 people on screen at once. Now 60 fps you might only be able to have 70 people on screen before you start to get slow downs.

 

But yes there wording is crap. They dont know how to talk at all.

 

And if you have the processing power and ram you can push the frame rate and turn out some good looking stuff. I watch 3d movies alot any they play so smooth at the high frame rates and look butter smooth. But that is for a movie not a game that has to be made on the spot.

I hope the Amiibo bundle comes out in NA because of this. The GC bundle seems to be sold out everywhere around here, and I really wanna save a few bucks somehow. Really looking forward to the 21st, gonna get the game, the new GC controller, the adapter, and a few Amiibos (probably Mario, DK, and Kirby)

Yea i want to get a kirby amiibos and would love a toon link one also.

Im sure there will be some more bundles but i know they will sell out like hot cakes.

I remember the destiny ghost bundle was only open for 1hr for preorders.

The same thing happen with the wii. Nintendo is all about confusing there buyers lol.
A 10 yr old might know the difference but most parents dont.
I remember a older lady (45 to 50).
Was trying to buy a nintendo DS for her grandson.
The guy at Walmart showed her a Gameboy SP and said it's the same thing but this one is cheaper.

It was Christmas time and I felt sorry for that kid.

I haven't seen this happen with playstation, Cellphones (90% of then at lest).

it's all about proper naming.
And the 2ds stuff is crap.
My friend , nephew and niece, think that it's an upgrade from a 3ds and that's it's better.
Also hear people go into gamestop all the time fusing that they don't see any 2ds games or why they have to pay that much for the game when it doesn't have the 3d lol..

Idk why they won't release a US model before Christmas. It just make much more sense to me.

I can see if now. Kids crying for a 3ds for Christmas. Mom or dad gets them one and a game. Then early 2015 (March). They release the "New 3ds".
The same kid sees this and crys for it, but there parents just tell them no i just brought you one.
So Nintendo losses a sell for the new system. And that kid probably won't get the "New 3ds" for another year.

I think it's just bad planing from Nintendo.
Also they need to change the name. "New 3ds" just doesn't do it and sounds kinda crappy.
They could of called it "Super 3ds". But nintendo also isn't good with naming systems.

Nice feature for people getting the 3DS version first and are already used to the controls. I might use it for the novelty once or twice, but I'll stick with the GameCube controller.

Well you know smash Bro have always been about the controls lol.
But really the more they make them the more controls you can play with.
Adding the 3ds just follows that trend.

It would be very smart to.
It would be damn great if you could do a type of remote play on the 3ds while battling others and see all the action on the 3ds screen.
It's be super damn great if the game had battle over Internet.

I probably will. I tend to try the story first then hit online. But this game is different.  I'll hone my skills then get online.

I wasn't hype about this game. Imo it's Halo mixed with board lands.
But i ended up playing the beta and it's pretty cool and fun. I did like board lands and was glad it's more towards that side then halo.
I pre-order it and will be picking it up at launch.
The game does look so great.
I'll probably just do single player for a while then hope online.

Well i tend to not buy a new system just for one game.

but i normally end up getting all the systems in the end because there turns out to be games i want or i end up getting the missing one as a gift.

 

Now with that being sad. Most people wont buy another system just for one game.

So with the wii u. there just miss out on the games because they wont ever come to other systems.

But ahh, Nintendo still need to up there game to get more systems sold.

So from your point of view do you think developers can create much better graphics on Wii U than they are doing now
