I know you can access Facebook, and Twitter with the AWESOME internet browser howver I think it would be cool to see a dedicated app for them! Now Skype would be very good since the Gamepad has the camera built in! Maybe even make it part of Wii U Chat. What do you think, is this good for Wii U?

Skype is owned by Microsoft, but it could happen.

This^ But what it really needs is taking pictures/videos from the gamepad. And maybe you can post those on Twitter or Facebook.

Yeah I would like integration with common social networks, as well as a little more functionality for the camera and mic in the gamepad, I'm sure things like that will come in due time, seeing as it's a brand new online system and partnerships with third party social networking companies take time to develop.

The PS Vita has Skype so I think it is a possibility!

Also, Nintendo should add a first party Video and Picture viewing apps!

Microsoft may own Skype, but if it would make them money by allowing other companies to utilize it, they would. inb4 dtrex likes this post.

I couldn't careless if any of them come to the Wii U. I don't use them on My of my other consoles that have them so I'm not likely to use them on my Wii U. I have a computer, tablet and smart phone for social networking apps.

The more apps the better.

so long as they are optional installs.

but Facebook and Twitter are huge and no-brainers for the Wii U.

And Skype seems like it should have been born on the Wii U.

I'm not much of a facebook user, but i would like to see it added, people laugh at me when i tell them how smooth the wiiu browser is, facebook would work very nicely. Only issue is you dont have any options for uploading anything other than in-game screen shots and or achievements, and I'm pretty sure nintendo wants Miiverse to BE that social network for the system.

It feels like NIntendo was trying to centralize the social aspect of the Wii U with Miiverse. So this seems kind of unlikely to happen. As long as they keep updating and expanding on Miiverse (which could possibly include Facebook, Twitter, etc. linking for those who want it), I'll be content.

Nintendo was centralizing the wii u experience as they should. Made it focused. Not a hodgepodge of other peoples stuff.

But they'll open up to Facebook and twitter as options. It's not a big deal. Basically a tailored interface for those systems.
Just need those folks to create apps that can be run on wii u.

As far as Skype, Microsoft bought them out. I wonder if ms will prevent it from appearing on other consoles.
