Yup. Obv. A dedicated app gives instant and direct access to the associated function. It takes too much time and efforts to load facebook and twitter indirectly on Wii U (through browser).

Other than Skype no. I'd prefer an actual cross game Wii U chat.

Yea, I'd like Skype as well on my Wii U. You guys don't know how much I spend talking to friends on Skype. (Yea mainly for studies or League of Legends).
