Synopsis: The story focuses on the prince of the Halidom of Ylisse and his companions as they struggle during a turbulent era. Players are able to combine the might of nearby allies using Pair Up and enter dual battles using the Dual System to defeat enemies. Gameplay footage shows that the traversable world map, last seen in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, and special skills like Aether from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn will make a return. This game will feature a playable character that can be customized, with different faces, hair, sizes, and voices; you can also customize some of your character's stat progression. This game features 4 difficulties, (The hardest, Lunatic +, is unlockable) and in addition to the difficulties is a separate Classic and Casual mode. Classic makes it so once you lose a character, they are dead forever, and never come back; Casual lets you lose chracters, but they come back after you finish the mission.
Reception: Fire Emblem: Awakening was widely praised by critics, receiving a very impressive average of 92 out of 100 on Metacritic (With 33 reviews), with the lowest score being an 85. The game got multiple perfect scores from Digital Spy, Pocket Gamer UK, Gaming Age, The Escapist, and Darkstation. General fan reception seems to be very positive, with many fans praising the game to be the best in the series.

Honestly I'm surprised with all the people who are playing this game on the forums, that no one has made this thread. Discuss Fire Emblem: Awakening to your hearts content here. Talk about strategies, character relationships, plot points, favorite units and recommendations for things to do.
