They shouldn't have made it bigger than the Wii. Also, cheaper build quality.
Size probably could not be avoided. Since Wii was basically souped up GCN slim. WiiU just has a lot more going on inside.
As for build quality. Nintendo always makes the most reliable systems.
As for breaking well at least the Gamepad is concrete proof

It's not even about breaking or reliability. The plastic looks and feels cheap, much worse than any previous Nintendo system. Same for the GamePad. It just looks terrible next to even the cheapest tablets.

yeah I hate shiny plastic. I like Matte myself. Still I rather it look like it will break but doesn't than look like it won't and breaks in a year like alot of stuff.

They should of used something similar to what the PS4 uses. Nintendo has gone with cheap economic friendly plastic this gen.
