I have no idea if this was posted before, but I feel this guy should be in the next Smash Bros..... At the very least as a costume for meta knight...

Hopefully on Super Smash Bros. IV each character would have actual different costumes rather than palette swaps.
By different costumes I mean like Wario where he has his WarioWare costume as default whilst he also has his generic standard appearance.
Every Nintendo character (almost every) have some kind of alternate costume they have used in their own games. Whether it be Mario, Link, Samus etc.

I'm sure this idea has already been mentioned, but I can't be bothered looking through the entire thread.

I seriously hope both Fi AND Ghirahim are in SSB4. Ever since finishing Skyward Sword, I've always felt like they needed to face off at some point.

Iwata did mention that both the 3DS version and the Wii U version of Smash Bros. IV are going to work together somehow.
You can hear him mentioning it in this video.

I also think that Link should be able to summon Fi somehow, plus add Girahim.

You think Brawl will have skyward sword style zelda characters? Oh and professor layton is a bad idea, i said it was before but imagining it now, after playing last specter, he would not fit in, he should at least be a trophy alomg with luke.

I think it would be cool if we could have both, with Wii U Tech-demo style Link/Zelda being the primary costume and Skyward Sword Link/Zelda being alternate costumes. Or maybe Nintendo will have realistic Link/Zelda on the Wii U version and SS Link/Zelda on the 3DS version.

I'd love to see Rosalina as a playable character. Maybe some more Lolita-fighters, as well.

I'd love to main as a Loli on SSB. That'd be like Heaven in a nut-shell. But I just don't know what character Nintendo can pull up from that.

Well, if I might, I think it's safe to say work has started on Smash 4. Kid Icarus is simply being 'tuned' at this stage, and it'll be coming out very soon. At this point, and in my opinion, they've started something by now. LET THE WAIT BEGIN!

I don't have a link, but I swear that Sakurai has said that they are in the VERY BEGINNING of development.
