Wii 2. Adding the 2 makes people notice that it's not 1 (captain obvious here) and thus that it is something NEW. The U only confuses people because they think the U is the new controller, or something like Wii Motion Plus, Wii Balance Board.. Wii 2 gives the impression that this is a new Wii CONSOLE.

Plus it sounds less 'strange' to people. Apple called their second iPad 'iPad 2'. It's just more logical to do.

If they were to discard the Wii brand, call it Stream. I think it works, however I don't imagine myself saying "I'm gonna play on my Stream" . Maybe it helps to put the name in line with other console names

Stream, eventually, maybe doesn't work also because it's just a word. It's just a simple word, nothing more. Other names were more unique. Not that Wii 2 sounds that unique, but it's a logic continuation of NES > SNES.

I think I'd go with Wii 2. Wii U doesn't sound next-gen enough.

I feel strongly that Nintendo should change the name of the Wii U. But I don't know what I want it to be called. I have seen at least a dozen people judge the Wii U and say "oh it is a new Wii. The graphics are going to be terrible and it is going to suck." And these people didn't even take the time to look at the remote or even the details I tried to tell them. Now that is absolutely ridiculous.

I like Nintendo Stream though.

Well, there already is a system named Genesis, which would've been my suggestion. They have a whole team to give them suggestions, yet they name it the Wii U :l. I guess I'm ok with it, and I already think that they're practically set on a name (which we might not know), considering that E3 is coming fairly soon.
EDIT: No other suggestions b/c my list would go on forever... Wii U does make my Wii feel inadequate though.

I think it should just be called "nintendo" thats it, not wii u or stream, u cant follow a console called wii with stream! Lol that takes the piss .
everybody knows what nintendo is and what it does so just keep that. When ur with friends all u gotta say is " anybody wanna play nintendo? " its simple and i think it works!

^This! I'd prefer Wii Stream to some of the stuff we've been coming up with. (By that meaning some of these are even worse. I do NOT want it to be Wii Stream).
