I'm expecting them to show off their heavy hitters for launch, my guess is a mario game. I'm guessing we will get teasers for ssb4, a future zelda and maybe a future metroid?

i'm hoping they tell us what's in the box of the WiiU, maybe a game like sports or chase Mii, included headphones (like they used to do with the Gameboy), AR cards for the 3DS, SD card, ...

about the games: i'm wishing for news/info/surprises on:

• a new Metroid game
• a presentation of a new adventure-IP
• maybe a new Pilotwings with a lot more possibilities then the 3DS version (vehicles, boats, submarines, hovercrafts, more jets, multiple islands, lots of different gliders, more mountains, more ways to customize…)
• a new mario
• a new 1080 game
• a new buck bumble game
• a new road rash game
• a cool flight or racing sim with tons of content

720!!!!! Not Nextbox. Nextbox is the name of a DVR. Wii U is the saviour of video games its all good.

The rumor says that the next XBox will be called Durango (and some sources already use the name as if it was the official one)

^Nah it's just a codename I think. Xbox Durango doesn't roll well. The name wouldnt appeal in my country for sure (just like Orbis wouldn't, but it's still better)

Wii U:

Pikmin 3 as a launctitle for Wii U.
A (few) casual game(s) for Wii U.
A (few) hardcore game(s) for Wii U.
At least one Mario Game.
Third party support.
No specs, but proof that it will be powerful enough.
Accessoires
Launch date, price, etc.

3DS:

More info on LM2, PM etc.
New Mario sidescroller reveal.
I HOPE Metroid Dread to be revealed.
Especially more casual titles instead of hardcore titles, like the new Brain Training.
Still a few hardcore titles, maybe a few shooters.

It will be almost exactly this, I'm confident in it.

Why do you think they need to change the console?

They've got to change something. Look at when they first announced the DS and look at that model and now look at the model they offically realeased. Big change, huh?

Though I liked the black on the first one, it looked somehow outdated on other points. But I doubt the Wii U will change that much. I mean, the Wii (or Revolution) barely changed too. 3DS didn't change at all except for the colours. Changes in the Wii U appearance will be very minimal.

I wouldn't get your hopes up. They never officially released 3DS specs too, and SSB4 only started development a few months ago.

i think there gonna make the wii u launch a very big deal, i mean superbowl style with iwata and miyamoto flying in on wires into a huge structure shaped in the letters HD making them explode and WII U slowly desends down through beam of light pointing down to reggie standing beneith holding his hands high and looking up the heavens while coldplay sing fix you.

But seriously i think it will go like this:
1. Nintendo come out and talk about the past and build up to the present day.
2.they unveil the wii u and tell us all the specs and multimedia.
3.then they remind us about the games and show some new ip's and 3rd party software, hopefully blowing our minds.

The thing is, E3 isn't for the casual audience, that's what advertising is for. E3 is for the hardcore and professional market, and that's why they need to get it in to their heads that the power of this machine and the actual console itself are so important to detail to everyone. That, and some great 1st party games CONFIRMED for launch, as well as a detailing of their new Nintendo Network and how the Wii U WILL be above competition in online areas.

That's what they NEED to do. What they will actually do? Who knows.

As long as they "do what they do", they'll be fine this E3. Reggie has the best stage presence out of all of the regular presenters, IMO. Specifically, what we need to see from Nintendo for their E3 to be a success is:


- launch date/price for Wii U

- Show Retro's new game

- Show/Announce Miyamoto's new IP

- Show Pikmin 3

- Show the new Mario

- Announce future first party games in developent (Metriod/Star Fox/Zelda/3DMario/etc.)

- Spend 3-5 Minutes detailing Nintendo Network; announce launch games for N² <--- I made N² up.

- Have a "sizzle reel" of third party games, including games that have not yet been announced.

- Allow a couple of third party devs on stage to express their excitement for Wii U and to demo their games and their use of the controller.


Everything I listed is pretty basic and expected by most. That's why I said all they need to do is, "do what they do". I know I'm gonna step on some toes, but anything with the 3DS is secondary when it comes to measuring the success of this E3. They do not need to release detailed specs at E3. Let the machine speak for itself. I'm beating a dead horse, but they've got to be Nintendo... They must do what they do.

Yup this exactly, though I dno't care much for the Car game and SSB4 teaser won't happen. It would give the impression that announcement might be near, but it won't since the game has barely begun development.

I'd like to add a new Metroid to this list. It would be awesome to see it with next-gen graphics, it could really show off what the Wii U is capable off.
