Should Nintendo allow you to download retro cups from previous Mario Kart games? Ex: DS Shell Cup?

yah they should allow more than just past maps to be downloaded though. im hoping for new characters, new tracks, more items. also i hope the online has game search options .

Yeah they could give a special free DLC like for the Anniversary of Mario Kart.

Yea, DLC would be good. Remember not all DLC is paid, some are free and knowing Nintendo, they probably will give out some free ones along with some paid.

The only problem I have with DLC is companies abusing it to make more $$$.

Nintendo has stated that they will use DLC as a means to add to the longlivety of a game rather than 'unlock' content that is already meant to be included on day 1.

I would love downloadable content, if it is free. I really do not like the idea of paying for a game, and then paying for the games content, but I love getting anything for free. I guess it wouldn't really be free though since I would have payed for the game.

Just make it something new. Not just old tracks but new characters, new tracks etc.

Create a track mode?
Probably not as in-depth as Nintendo's tracks, but maybe.
It'd only be like Modnation Racers tracks. (Basically.)
I can kinda see create-a-kart working.
That or more customization.

A decent Create-A-Track feature would be cool but hard to pull off.
I'd buy/earn DLC btw.

If they do have DLC for Mario Kart they probably won't have retro tracks because they need some for the next game when it comes out. I do hope they have DLC of new tracks and maybe user created tracks as well (that can only be used in sigle player and private rooms)

I also have a question. Do you think there will be voice chat in public or just private or none at all?
I think aswell that in private rooms you should be able to pick teams in team race (for clan wars) and free for all baloon battle and coin runners

mario kart wii u needs all new track and dlc is good as long as it free cause the wii u wont be

DLC is a no-brainer for me. As long as Nintendo makes it worth the money, or free.

I'd like to see them add more battle modes over time. Something that goes beyond balloons and coins. Something with a bit more strategy and makes use of the controller in an interesting way.

You could also have interesting race modes or combinations.

One mode off the top of my head: A mode that is a combination of battle and race, but also crossed with a juggernaut style multiplayer (from Halo. And this is where the controller comes in to it). It would be like a race, on any track, but players would have balloons as well like in battle. You can collect balloons along the way and you get one extra every time you complete a lap, and whoever is the leader in terms of balloons can control the traps and obstacles on the track with the screen on their controller. So it's kind of a free for all, kind of an everyone against one, sort of mix up. That could get messy haha

the mode may not be perfect but I'm spitballing here. What else could the controller be used for?
