Seeing as how Resident Evil 6 was a highly anticipated game by many others, how would you feel about a port for the Wii U sometime after its release?

Considering that the game was a complete disaster i wouldn't really care if it didn't get ported.

Im sorry zombiu takes first place. Re, left4dead and dead island, all suck imo compair to zombiu.
So i dont think id buy a port of any of those.
The old re that was on ps1 and ps2 where good. This new stuff fell off somewhere.

To all the naysayers: played Leons campaign? It was one of the best RE experiences I've ever had. The others.. not so much yet..

Anyway like said in previous threads: I'd rather have a Wii U EXCLUSIVE GAME, a sequel to Revelations which was amazing. I wouldn't care for RE6 being ported because I already own it.

I don't know what everyone else is saying, I've heard great critiques for RE6. Just because it isn't the old style of RE gameplay does not mean the game is a "disaster."

I wouldn't mind if it got ported, likely it won't though.

I played this today and thought it was more meh than anything else,been playing since re1 and I think the series is worse now than it was then

I'm telling ya, it's because of the introduction of full camera control since RE4. That and that alone destroyed so much that RE had going for it. Fixed camera angles, hard aiming, the generally more fearful experience that comes from that lack of control.

I think even the other things like the general increase in item abundance and close combat wouldn't be bad for the series if it was still the "bird's eye of view of oh **** crap what is that noise coming around the corner?"

No. The real reason is the person who made resident evil what it was left during that transition.

That it happened during that time is just a coincidence. Had it stayed fixed camera angle, re would still suck without shinji mikami. Maybe youd still have a case if absolutely fantastic survival horror games didnt come out with full camera control and all the psuedo scripted scares and then some of the original re experience all intact and actually enhanced.

It didnt go downhill because they made the camera and controls less crappy. It went downhill because they made it a mediocre action game.

In my opinion re is really going downhill, re 5, raccoon city and 6 were all complete disappointments. After revelations was released i gained a bit of hope for the series because that game was everything i was hoping it to be.

But in the 6th game they shoved in a ton of quick time events and i honestly wasn't even scared once, Capcom is losing the plot, they have the ability to make a great game like revelations but they just had to screw up the last 3 games.

ya that's why I say that about ZombiU. I used to really like RE but it's clearly just marketing at this point.

Screw that! the game was a dessapointment, RE is now going down the toilet just like Silent Hill.
