That told me nothing about the Surface besides being able to attach the cover/keyboard. I don't know maybe it's just me that wants to know about the product in a commercial.

It is a great promo in my opinion. Problem is that if Apple did the same advert with an iPad, no one would have any objection to why they're throwing tablets in the air etc. There's a subconcious bias that occurs when anything isn't Apple. I'm saying this because I have seen great products been announced and shown off this year, that trump apple but since they're not Apple their flaws are obvious. Kindle Fire, Nexus 7, Windows 8 RT - Surface, Acer Aspire S7, Dell XPS Duo, Windows Phone 8 - Lumia 920, but yet they don't get the spot light they deserve where as an iPhone 5, and an iPad mini are on the minds of many people. That can also apply to Wii U for most people here (not me, I'm afraid after playing it at Eurogamer I'm better off waiting, for there to be games that I truly wish to play, like when MH3 Ultimate is released).

What this promo does show is that:
1. Keyboard cover is an integeral part
2. Kick stand is an integeral part
3. It's a stong magnet on the cover and the surface (There's a video from a tech site that shows this). In the announcement, Panos said they made it so you can't miss connecting the cover, this shows it.
4. Sound of the clicks, clicking in cover, and clicking in the kickstand. Again from the announcement, the sound of a luxury car door.
