It still blows my mind how many people here, on Wii U forums, don't own a Wii U...

 

My membership here predates the reveal of the Wii U, if you were wondering. At this point I'm only coming out of habit since a lot of the people from the Wii2Boards period already moved on.

So this is kinda terrible. I tried it out yesterday and today with different games. I hear a lot less than I do just plugging in regular headphones. I do NOT recommend.

I've got the same headset, it's OK but nothing special really. Mostly bought it just to use when playing COD

Great for a mic I suppose but the sound lacks so so much.

Haha, I sold my Wii U last year, and I still have this headset, and it's my main PC headset right now... was so bad at first, but it's amazing how you can adjust to such poor quality, I ended up preferring these stupid things over my brothers $120 headset... I'll be keeping these for when I re-buy my Wii U.

The problem is with games were you can't make the volume louder in-game. In that respect it's pretty bad. Tried with Bayo1 and Hyrule Warriors and any other regular headset or ear buds were superior. But if you need a mic and are not too concerned with volume it's fine for Wii U games I suppose.

Do you wear the $120 frequently? Like you said you often just adjust to things, so if you wear headphones/headsets for a long time your ears get used to their EQ, soundstage etc. and so the areas where another headset is different sound weird and messed to you, even if the quality is superior. But if you wear the new ones long enough then your hearing "fixes" itself so to speak, and when you go back to the old ones you often notice the drop in quality. Speaking from experience here :P
