I was just thinking about this. When the U comes out and we'll all be chatting and having fun on there what will happen to this site? Will it die? Will people only come on here for news? Will everyone leave? I want this site to stay alive and prosper! This site is the best internet experience of my life. So many nice people that welcome new members with open arms and defend the Wii U against crazed Sony Drones and Xbots (and the occasional PC gamer). The Wii U forums are a place where dedicated Nintendo fans, new and old, gather to talk about Nintendo's upcoming console and have fun doing it, too. The Wii U Forums are a place where Nintendo fans can form bonds between each other. Some say The Wii U Forums community are just a bunch of Nintendopes but I say that we are a community of normal people. Normal people who love Nintendo. So please, don't let The Wii U Forums die. Do it for wittle old Koopaman (and the children).

I doubt they will die. I am not actually here because of the WiiU but because of the people on this site. Besides, the forums won't lose their purpose when the console comes out.

I've been through several forum deaths, and I can assure you that this forum isn't even close to dying.

There's no reason for alarm. Miiverse won't nearly have as much freedom as forums do.

Actually the second the Wii U comes out, I'm going to delete my account on here, get rid of my Facebook, end my You Tube show, throw my laptop into a grinder, crush my PS3 (as well as delete my PSN account), throw my 360 out a window, and burn down every school in the world, because Miiverse will be able to fill those spots, and more.

I think the Wii U launch will only make us more active. We'll actually be able to discuss games we're playing and all then. Maybe we can get a few events going for CoD:BO2 or some other multiplayer-heavy game.

Wouldn't it only be logical that this site will grow AFTER the Wii U launches?
I mean, look at the 3DS Forums. It was quite small before the handheld launched then BOOOOM!, it's large now.
