Do you get anything extra if you pre-order the Wii U, and if so do different stores give you different bonuses?

You get the ability to not have to wait through the 250,000 person waiting list at GameStop, for one.

The only real perk is that you're guaranteed a system at launch, and that's about it. Which in this case should be more than enough. :P

Here in Australia we get a 'gummy' case, screen protector and stylus kit, if you pre-ordered from a store called "JB Hi-Fi".

The only upside of pre ordering is the power to actually get the console without hassle.

That's worth the $5 for me.

And that $5 goes towards the console itself.

They look really bad to me, so I decided to just go with EB since it's easier to get to for me.

No actual bonus for me, though I do get the console easily. So that counts. Though I am getting a hat with my pre order of Scribblenauts Unlimited and another hat ( plus $5 off) with my Epic Mickey 2 pre order, if they count.

The only perk I can think of at all is that bonus you get on the eShop if you buy the Black Premium console, but you don't have to pre order to get it.

Haven't seen any Wii U console bonuses but GameStop was offering a silly hat with Scribblenauts Unlimited.

I'm glad I pre-ordered. I can just pick it up at launch instead of being on the waiting list. Ugh those poor people...

Costs £20 here.

Depending on each store, will depend if they might give out goody bags or not, and they usually only give them out on midnight releases anyway. (That's assuming they're gonna give any out for this release)

I have sold my Wii U, so if I deleted you from NN before I sold it, or haven't accepted your friend request since, this is why.

For the wii us nah. Just day one you know you will have it.
Now on games some times you get a code so DLC.

O yea i have been able to skip people in line. Mainly because i preorder and pay in full. So i hand them the receipt and they scan it and give me the game. VS the other people in line that are paying or looking for a game. But its probably just my store they know me and everything always runs smooth when i go there.
