inagree with the blackmailing part, like voice commands in skyrim.Considering how Microsoft is heavily promoting the Kinect and even "blackmailing" developers and publishers into putting its functionality into games that shouldn't even have it in the first place I think there is a lot of validity in my comment.
I was once known here as KillerMario, but since I really like Banjo-Kazooie, I changed my display name to show them my respect

It's pretty sad that Wii U owners are unlikely to get their hands on this game. Metro is definitely a great game, the franchise has amazing potential and setting, created by Dmitry Glukhovsky, is very unique and profound.
The only problem Ill have is deciding if I want it for ps3 or 360.
But Unique and profound? Ico and Shadow of the Colossus were uniqe and profound. THis is a post apocolyptic shooter. Cool? Yes. Interesting? hells yes. Unique and profound? lol, No.

1 - In terms of graphics and overall experience, PC version will obviously be superior.
2 - This is a post-apocalyptic shooter with horror elements which action takes place in Russia (or, to be more precise, in its ruins) and, moreover, deep in the underground, where remaining refugees fight for their lives. Would it be enough to be considered 'profound' ? Absolutely. Unique ? I don't know any other game (besides Fallout, but that's the whole different thing, you know) that could express the struggle of post-apocalyptic society that good and vividly.

Dont forget if there saying that its either on par or below the 360/Cell CPU then they have screwed up big time considering the 360 and PS3 are on there last legs now and there will more than likely be a new Xbox and Playstation out at the end of next year, if there using old tech like this then it is not a good thing.
Some calling "unicorn tongue" on everything negative about the Wii U because you dont wanna hear it, it may be truth for all you know but you guys wont know because you'll have your Nintendo Blinders on.

I'm not a fanboy or a hater. I want this system to work because my son and I are eagerly awaiting Pikmin 3. This system makes me want to scream with rage over how SLOW it is! Seriously! I feel like I'm accessing the internet circa 1997 via the slowest dial-up connection in history. It takes FOREVER to even get into the Mii Maker! Takes FOREVER to create a new user and we keep getting errors every time we try to make/register a network ID - OMG! If my system is typical and not defective, I can't imagine ANYONE not being upset at the slowness of it. I'm used to clicking on something and it opening in a few seconds, not like 45 seconds or a minute in a half - or freezing completely!
That's just a software problem, it will be fixed.
The CPU is slow, that was confirmed once Nintendo release the picture last month of it's 30mm2 die. Strange decision by Nintendo as making the CPU 50% more powerful would of cost very very little. Nintendo will be able to making a lot of great games on the console but it won't be getting any 'next-gen' games.

yeah sorry potatohog I guess I was alittle to fanboy on that review but thats with anything new i get i guess its like the honey moon fase.angelo - Fair enough. You must really enjoy your systems though. Like Tricky said, in your Wii U review, you needed to take time to breathe. Your review was still a nice contrast to my critical 8.75/10 review though.

If say GTA V is coming out on the Wii U because of the technical issues it will have a later release date than the X360/PS3 meaning that people will go for those versions over the Wii U.
It seems that Nintendo has gone the same was as Sony did with the PS3 in making it hard to develop for, if any multi-platform game has any issues it is always the PS3 that get's them.

well a positive is that most of its ports has been better than the ps3 version of the same game so it must be doing something making it easier to develop for than the ps3.I understand the technical side of the argument, but why didn't Nintendo just go with a faster CPU so that games can be ported over easily ?

If Nintendo wanted to get ps360 ports, theyd either have to make a ridiculously powerful machine that could plow through unoptimized code so well that it basically emulate 360/ps3, or build one with similar architecture to ps3/360, but they dont want to do that, because, with the sole exception of floating point operations, ps360 cpu's sucked giant donkey balls. The ps4 cant play ps3 games, because ITS cpu wont have the flop count of cell or xenon. Think about that guys.
Although Im pretty sure we can lay this fiasco to rest.
Wwise has proven that this is complete crap. I mean, the benchmark certainly doesnt show the wii u as a powerhouse, but its definately NOT a 'horrible, slow, cpu'. Hell, they introduced wii u support with wwise 2012 v.1, and got it running as well as ps3/360
'1.4 Software Pipeline on the Wii U
The Wwise software pipeline is now supported on the Wii U which leverages all features available on the
other software platforms like the Xbox360 and PS3. The software pipeline simplifies ports on the Wii U
and allows for the creation of comprehensive and sophisticated sound design.'
http://www.audiokine...eleaseNotes.pdf
And now, just one version and a few months later (back in september) optimizations have it running 2-4x faster.
Wii U™
Audio on Wiimote and rumble on Wiimote and DRC is now supported. Delay, Peak Limiter and RoomVerb have been optimized by 2.3x to 4.4x on Wii U.
If it had parity wit 360/ps3 in V1, and now its running 3-4x faster.... Heh, these guys figured out how to make wiimote sound work in the same amount of time they improved performance (peak limiter, delay) 2-4x.
http://www.audiokine...news/227-2012-2
These kinds of improvements happen typically with every version update every time until about two years in a systems life when it starts to slow down.
