I love the new banner and all but I have one complaint. I cant see the chats population without going in. Can someone fix this so people can tell.

I agree it was SOOO helpful when that was there but now you have to scroll to the bottom of the page

Actually I'm stupid, I've not been in lately cos I didn't think there was anyone in there, I didn't know till this guy pointed it out lol

Considering that this is a Wii U forum first and foremost, and not so much a chatroom, I left out the red badge on the Chat link in the new theme so as not to draw any more attention to the chatroom than to any other area of the site.

The chatroom is an area of the site that doesn't produce any publicly visible or searchable content. While I acknowledge that it's a beloved community hotspot, focusing too much activity and attention there will ultimately detract from the amount of publicly available content that gets created on the forums, which is indexed by search engines and found by guests, who subsequently join to contribute to it. The chatroom regulars can always click into the chatroom to see who's there.

But what would that little red number do. Make it so that only members can see it or something because it is quite useful.

The little red number often makes more people attend the chatroom. Even having one member in there will entice a little curiosity to know who's ready to chat.

Back in the day, Turbo basically sat in that box all day erryday, and that was enough to make me visit more frequently. And from what I've seen, numbers usually above four quickly escalate above 10 on a near daily basis now.

Basically put, the bigger the number, the more likely a person will click it. But without the number showing, people become hesitant.

Anyways I am currently sitting in a dead chat and no one is showing up and I kinda wish someone would and I think that there may be more people if that red button was there.

Stop being lazy, all you have to do is scroll to the bottom of the page to see who's there. That's what I do, and it takes less than a second.
