We originally began working with Star Fox back on Wii, and we had a small group of people experimenting with it for many years, maybe about six years, but we didn’t find an idea that really brought that together for the Wii. So instead we moved experimentation to the Wii U using some of the same assets. It’s been maybe 6 to 10 months that we’ve been experimenting with it."

 

Looks like we should be getting a detailed Star Fox game.  Does this shoot down any theory that Metroid will be shown at E3?  I can't imagine Nintendo working both a Star Fox and Metroid game along with Smash Bros. and Zelda.  Either way, this is exciting!

Any chance we can get a GTA overworld?  I'd love to fight Bowser, then celebrate afterwards with strippers and coke.

Just picked up the 3DS after having the Wii U for a year now.  Zelda: ALBW alone is worth the price of the 3DS, so far.  I don't think you can really go wrong with one or the other.

Nevermind, I see what you meant now.  They're bundling the game with the normal colors of 3DS XL for $190.  At first I thought you meant they had the special edition one for $190

 

Sorry about that... Yeah, it's the bundled deal with normal colors (I think I got either Black or Blue), but either way I figured for $190 I'm still coming out on top.  This'll be my first 3DS so I'm pretty excited to see what I've been missing.

Ahh, I don't know if I can wait for Christmas for this one.  But as soon as I buy it, my wife will kill me.  "What am I supposed to get you for Christmas if you keep buying yourself everything you want??"  ....

I'm becoming a Nintendo loner as well.  I had the Xbox360 and PS3 for the last generation, to only end up selling the PS3 later down the road.  Since I got the Wii U the Xbox has been out of commission.  I don't have as much time to spend playing video games anymore with an 8 month old and wife, so there is no point in wasting money on PS4 and Xbox720 material.  Plus, I want my daughter to grow up on the same games as I did.  I think that would be kind of neat.

The Wii U will be an investment that will last you a few years.  The Iphone 5 will become outdated in about a half a year to a year.  

And this is with a bone stock dry Wii U.  Imagine when all the good First Person titles come out.  I expect Generation Y to allow the Wii U to flourish over the next few years.

Zen Pinball 2 will be available this month as a free download.
Toki Tori 2 will be released this March.
Castlevania Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate will be released
Monster Hunter Ultimate 3 looks to be compatible with both Wii U and 3DS!

Donkey Kong is coming to 3DS!  Donkey Kong Country Returns will be ported over to the 3DS.

That concludes Nintendo Direct...  Personally, I'm most excited about the Super Mario Bros Wii U DLC featuring a whole new story with Luigi.  Anyone else?

Two new maps will be available today for Fire Emblem: Awakening.  They also mention that new maps will be released in the upcoming weeks.  This is good news for those that were inquiring about FE:A news.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf will be released on June 9th.

Lego City Undercover will be coming to Wii U in March.  There will also be a Lego City game released for the 3DS in April.

Ninja Gaiden 3 on the Wii U will release a content update later this month and will be free to those owning the game.
