But we still have, obviously, the Galaxy series, and there's a possibility that in the future we may look to explore what else we can do with the Galaxy series. For us, it was really about trying to find the right 3D Mario space in which we're going to allow the widest audience to play.
This is a big meh to me, I prefer they do something new instead of another Mario Galaxy game :/

My faith in the 3D Mario series is beginning to go to completely lost status.
At the very least go with an original theme. Geez.

The Galaxy games are one of my favorite games ever and even I don't want them to make Galaxy 3. Is Nintendo going to sacrifice their creativity for sales? If we do have another Galaxy game, hopefully it's an open word game.

Lol, first we get Mario 3D Land which seems like a glorified handheld game on a home console, and now they want to do this?
I'll re-buy a Wii U when there's a reason to.

Hey look at it this way. Planets are more interesting than just random floating islands which is basically what SM64 consists out of. Even Peach' castle is just a floating island... SM64 consists out of planets as well, but the Galaxy series are FAR more creative and use a cool gravity aspect so it's not a huge deal right?
The only I'd like to see them change is adding less linear and bigger levels like mentioned game. But I'd still like a Sunshine 2 more.. or a new concept off course, but this is the Mario series we're talking about.

As long as they add more ideas to it I don't care. Isn't that the idea of a sequel? To keep the core mechanics but also expand upon them?
Pretty much this. If they did a Galaxy 3, I'd probably still buy it, as would many of you. Would I prefer something else? Sure. Am I going to boycott if it isn't something new? Heck naw, Mario be fun.

the 3d mario games started sucking when 3D land came out... if they did a galaxy 3 and make it like the first two games... I would be the happiest man alive.
