Anyone else want to see Shovel Knight join the roster?
I think he'd be an awesome addition, even though it's very unlikely.

Oh, yes. Definitely. Smash Brothers is the type of game that really should accommodate all of the Wii/Wii U's controllers. Well, not the ones like the Wii Balance Board, obviously. xD
But I use the Wii's Classic Controller Pro for Brawl, and using anything else is really weird for me, so I hope it'll be compatible in SSB4.

Lots of wii u games are adding stupid features to accomadate
the gamepad. I'm worried that might happen to SSB4.

They probably won't and if so at least we can use atleast the Wii U pro controller and/or the wiiremote(+nunchuck)(classic controller)

Yeah, in an interview... http://www.ign.com/a...er-smash-bros-4
Sakurai said that he didn't want to make the controls complicated for the sake of it, so I doubt they'll add anything dumb to it just to incorporate the gamepad

Yes. And hmm... I don't like riot or unleashed really. I don't really know what I like though. Nothing I think of sounds right

So aside from characters, where's what I want in the next Smash Bros. 4:
- No more God forsaken random tripping. Worst idea in the entire series.
- An Adventure mode that feels more similar to Melee's Adventure Mode than Brawl's SSE world. If the next SSB4's Adventure Mode, at least put Nintendo worlds and not a lame and dull original world.
- DLC for all past stages that don't make it in the cut.
- Obviously better online. Since it's being co-developed by Namco, I have faith the online will have 20x better than Brawl's.
- Change back Mario's Down B. FLUDD was so awful, that Mario may as well had no Down B move.
- Different stages in both version of the game.
Of Nelson and Murdock. Avocados at law.
Attorney at day, vigilante by night.

Here's what I want to see. In hindsight, I'm pretty sure all of these have been stated to death:
- Less "gimmicky" stages. This was one of my major issues with Brawl because some stages are immensely unfair with their design, such as Mario Bros., WarioWare Inc., Pictochat, Mario Circuit, Spear Pillar, and Flat Zone 2. A little more consistency between Battlefield-esque stages and "wacky" stages would be nice
- Tripping. Pretty sure that's obvious.
- For heaven's sake, fix the damn online. No more not good lag everytime I try to play locally with friends. This should apply to Nintendo's online in general, though.
- Bring back some of Melee's fast paced combat/physics. I hate how slow Brawl was compared to Melee, since there's way more opportunity for people to strike you when you least expect it. Hit detections are also very large compared to that of Melee. Also, it would be nice if 4 brought back Melee's "L/R" command of extra aerial hangtime.
- An Adventure Mode that's not an even more boring Kirby-esque game.
- The removal of useless modes like Stage Builder, Stickers (in general), Chronicles, and Mastepieces so that more important material can be programmed in.
- Don't go crazy with third party characters. 2-4 should be plenty.

For all of you that are saying to get rid of Jigglypuff, they shouldn't get rid of anyone from the original Smash Bros., it would just be... wrong...

super smash bros 4 on wii u and 3ds will require both of them to finish 100% to get all unlockables,
Super Smash Bros. Wii U / 3DS is an upcoming Wii U and Nintendo 3DS video game in the Super Smash Bros. series. It is being developed by Namco Bandai Games, and directed by series creator Masahiro Sakurai. The game was announced at E3 2011 by Nintendo President Satoru Iwata. During the presentation he confirmed that both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game will feature some sort of cross-platfrom connectivity.

That's not what it's saying. It's saying they'll be inter connectable. So you'll be able to do what Monster Hunter is doing, take it on the go, play with people on the opposite console. Sure there might be achievements or challenges with little insignificant prizes like those stickers, but if someone is going to be enough of a collector to actually care about those, they would probably want both games anyway. There aren't going to be any console specific characters. At least, there shouldn't be. I doubt he would do that
