#279456 What are your guy's thoughts on Harry Potter for a turn based RPG?

Posted by Auzzie Wingman on 01 April 2014 - 04:15 PM

Sounds like a perfect match.  I also played a couple of Harry Potter games on the original Xbox (made by EA possibly?) that were pretty darn good.

Pretty sure the entire Harry Potter franchise has been published by EA since it started.

#279419 EA kicks Nintendo while they are down

Posted by Auzzie Wingman on 01 April 2014 - 02:04 PM

I've seen some r00d things in my life. This takes the cake! this has to be the r00dest thing ever!

D:<

FRICK EA!

You must live a very shallow life if you think this is the rudest thing ever.

you know what i will do? i will create a game studio that creates games with the same genre as ea games (my games will probably be better) and make them lose money

$25 says Mahmood can actually do this.

Why is everyone so upset about this I mean it wasn't funny just because it was just a terribly presented joke (keyword JOKE) The Wii U is not a person it does not have feelings these tweets have no effect on the WiiU. Do you think this hurts Iwata's/ Nintendo's feelings because no, no it doesn't  here is Iwata right now http://gifrific.com/...ars-with-money/    this isn't rude the Wii U is a piece of plastic not a person

Exactly. People getting upset and lighting torches because one employee at frostbite was probably on the piss. Nintendo doesn't give a **** about Twitter anyway.

#278970 An Idea for a PC game series

Posted by Auzzie Wingman on 29 March 2014 - 05:58 AM

Commander gets a "Kill Rogue" action for anyone being deviant to any strategy plan. Commander cannot use this if they do follow the plan.

Massive rewards if other soldiers engage in hunting down the rogue. Successfully going rogue means the best rewards, but the Commander doesn't necessarily need human soldiers to eliminate rogues.

Basically, if you want to go rogue, do it right, not on a whim.

#278728 Assassins Creed Comet WiiU (among others) Rumor

Posted by Auzzie Wingman on 27 March 2014 - 04:01 AM

I loved III's setting but it's also been done in Liberation, which makes it overdone imo.  They've also overdone Italy.

There are so. Freaking. Much. Interesting settings and era's for the series, they shouldn't stick  to the same. Why not make a game in London, during the industrial  revolution? Or a game in Russia?

Looked at the wiki. Nikolai is a Russian assassin from the late 1800's to the 1920's in a few comic book releases. Could make for an interesting game, with WWI in the background.

I'm not good with my modern history, but is the French Revolution in line with the Industrial revolution. Are they even able to retcon some weird Jack the Ripper into Unity. That would be cool, I guess. But as I said, no expert on modern history, just bits and pieces of ancient.

I reckon they should just make an entry that goes back straight to the beginning. Anyone who played ACII and viewed the Garden of Eden movie knows that according to the game, Adam and Eve quite possibly lived in a tech age. If that's the case, they could show the fall of an empire and why pieces of eden exist in various parts of the world.

Other than that, Japan has always been a place people wanted in the series. Sengoku warring states era would be.... you know what, just let us play Masamune Date and call it a day.

#277727 Please someone, make this game for me.

Posted by Auzzie Wingman on 18 March 2014 - 03:01 AM

I don't think that it would steal CoD's crown, but I like the idea.

I see this working best as a single player open world game. I feel that it wouldn't work well in terms of a multiplayer because you are physically moving a lot for what is by many a mode that could be played in excessively long bursts, with regards to constant gyroscope use and battery life.

It could lead to interesting ways to use cover and equipment, as well as tactical overview of your current location for strategic moves. You could use the camera on the gun to analyse the environment and get information fed for decision making. You could probably go further and make things like checking around corners a real arse if you don't properly use discretion.

Actually reminds me of one of my own ideas. You'd play the game in first person for typical movement and control, and get a 3rd person overlay of your current position while in cover. You could even program movement rails from point to point to quickly rush to a location or use discretion, but if you do that you get forced to rail shooting until you reach that point. Properly using all three mechanics would be key.

I like the drawings. Good job. But as I said, reliance on gyroscoping may be too much for it's own good.
