Wow, these people are up there with the likes of IGN and Patcher, such ignorance.

If you plan to use recording software instead of a capture device you will need to ensure that your computer will have the specs to keep up. Simply retro titles on the NES and 64 should run fine but running a GC game would probably require 8GB of RAM in order to capture smooth and consistant footage, nothing is more annoying than seeing someone upload a video that runs at something like 12 fps. As mentioned before there are all sorts of capture cards, some will allow you to plug straight into your console (recent consoles), some can hook into your monitors while some others may require a bit of tinkering to get working.

Considering you only just started you should just use recording programs to ensure that this whole web series idea is for you before shelling $80 on a capture card. Make sure that you have the right sort of voice and expression when doing your videos, popular let's players usually become famous because of there accents or there humour, it may not come straight away but naturally you should become more confident when making videos. Look at how other youtubers became famous, Pewdiepie is well known for his reaction shots when playing Amnesia and various other games. Jontron and Egoraptor from Gamegrumps are known for there humour, learn from these examples and you should do well.

Remember don't give up, be persistant with your recordings or viewers will quickly lose interest.

If it's more like DayZ than I might consider getting this. Dead Island really started to bore me with the constant fetch quests.

I feel people are really making way too big a deal of all of this. Sure some free games would be nice but that won't really help make customers happy. I own and love my console to death, It saddens me that people just have to complain and say that Nintendo is robbing them of there money, Nintendo are trying pretty darn hard to get everything sorted out and i feel satisfied with what they have to offer, so instead of complaining about what Nintendo hasn't done YET...lets look at what good has come to the WiiU, and it's fair to say that the WiiU has a lot of love to give.

IMO it would have been nice to see a slightly higher poly count in some of the heroes, however I can't really argue, Platinum has done a spectacular job with every one of those characters. I can't imagine how much work it would be trying to make every single one of those characters, they are all so unique.

I doubt this would actually be legal, all kickstarter funds would have to be managed by EA or DICE to begin with. EA is too far up their own a** to accept that the WiiU is just as capable as every other console, it's not so much the WiiU isn't capable but it just isn't a good financial decision. More games on a console does mean more sales but people are too scared to take the first move, i know know Battlefield is quite a good game but are we really missing out on much. Battlefield 4 is basically living of the hype from Battlefield 3, i have serious doubts about how good it will actually be, people will still buy it regardless. But have a look of what it has to offer, slightly better graphics (yawn), the ability to play on your idevice (next...), Skyscrapers now explode into piece (does that really add that much more. I don't know why DICE bothers staying with EA, they could be so much better in the hands of another company.

Company preference is left to personal opinion, no company is better or worse than the other (except EA).

People like companies for different reasons, generally people only have enough money for one console, because of that people tend to have a one sided argument. Even if you own all devices you will still have a favourite, no one is exactly like you so theres no point arguing. We play videogames to have fun, not to spend our lives fighting over which is better.

A console like this really couldn't survive solely on indie games in it's current state, well it could but it wouldn't look great to the public. 

This game really polarized the gaming community.  It seems that people either really love it or really hate it.  See IGN and Gamespot for negative reviews and Joystiq and Giantbomb for positive.  

I guess it old depends on how you like to play your games. Some like to rush through them and others like to take it slow and take it all in.

Why do people bother wasting their time making these ridiculous videos. Just about every single one of these videos have no real argument other than the graphics are slightly less powerful. Just the other day i saw one guy trying to convince everyone that you had been robbed if you bought the WiiU simply because of graphics, they all act mighty confident in saying it as well which does make me feel rather alarmed that people fail to realise their own stupidity. Let us remember that there are more Wii games on IGN's top 10 best games of all time than both 360 and PS3 not including multiplats.

Maybe if we offer Patcher as a sacrifice to satan, maybe we will see increased sales.
