Also in regaurds to the placement of objects on the controller,I actually think this might be confirmation of the feature I heard rumours about. The name of the technology escapes me at the moment but it's pretty much something they use like an eftpos touch scanner (or like the machines on public transport). So this would essentially be in-built in to the controller and let you purchase things on Nintendos online store without entering your details, but if it's true you could use it for game related activities as well, it seems.

Metroid is about exploring and figuring out puzzles to get from point A to point B, and not a mindless shooter, because Epic Games only produces mindless shooters!
