#275418 Official Titanfall Thread- Game of the Spring- Multiplayer Game of the Forever..

Posted by TheUltimateWaddleDee on 02 March 2014 - 05:09 PM

Don't know what to make of this game. COD with Mechs smeared in grey. Xbone version will be poor, PC gimped by Origin and there's no destruction at all. Nuke vs flimsy garden fence = fence wins.

On the other hand it does look fun, gameplay wise, but I could get bored very quickly after the initial feel wears off. Would get the PC version if I had to pick, mainly for better graphics/performance and 360 controller is better than Xbone's.

Destructible environments would break this game. The soldiers wouldn't be able to parkour, amd the Titans would have nothing to use as cover.

#263321 Sony: We're more committed to new IP than other platform holders

I don't know where you got the word tried from. The critics may not have liked the game but a lot of gamers did and it was one of the best selling launch games on the PS4. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a sequel down the road.

A lot of gamers where? Because everyone I know has hated it. And of course it's one of the best selling launch games on the PS4. It was one of its few launch, non-indie exclusives.

I really don't understand why people don't like the metro type ui, it's clean and allows you to see a lot more at a time than the PS4's ui

#256551 Broken PS4s discussion

sounds about right. People seem to forget that Sony doesn't have that good of a history with build quality. First iterations of their systems don't last more than a couple years typically (seriously, how many people had to buy replacement PS2s?). Still, I'll give it a week to see how widespread this is. But in any we do know one thing: that the PS4 is not the messiah of gaming, it's just another console.

#253960 Sony ps4 got some bad news for its buyers

Posted by Gaymer on 31 October 2013 - 11:15 AM

I love the Xbox brand, the 360 was one of my favorite consoles of all time, and I plan to get an Xbox One. My title is simply poking fun at the fact that liking anything Xbox related is considered a sin on here (and most places on the Internet). All you hear is negativity, and anyone who is positive is automatically labeled a fanboy. I don't go around bashing other consoles, though. Takes too much effort. I don't care for the PS4, but I don't attack it whenever I can. None of these companies are paying my bills or doing anything for me. I ain't a white knight.

#253590 Bought a Xbox 360 console. Realized how much superior it is in many ways

Posted by Marcus Noer on 29 October 2013 - 02:08 PM

Hallo people.

I bought a new Xbox 360 together with GTA when it released.

And i must admit, in my opinion, that console is far far superior to the Wii U. Not specifications wise, but its software.

- You can play with friends. Talk even though you not necessarily play or doing the same things.

- Easy to meet up with you friends (Parties) or strangers you meet ingame. (game invites, group invites etc...)

- A genuine message system that does not have stupid limitations and run through another application (Miiverse).

- Notifications when you get a message, friends going online, invites and so on.

- Achievement system.

And i could keep on going. All these are features that the Wii U does not have.

All the Wii U's features, its like they all run on seperat applications, and not really working togehter, if you understand what i mean.

On the Wii u, you cant get in touch with you friends, exept if they check their Miiverse, you cant see frinds activity the same way as on the Xbox. You cant invite, or be in a party and play together.

Overall the Xbox360 is far more superior in my opinion.

I hope some of the above things, could come to the Wii U in future updates.

I am not a fanboy, or anything like that! and i dont hate on Nintendo. Got both the Wii U and an Xbox 360.

Do you agree with me?

Let me hear you thoughs  :)

#253523 Anyone else still unsure what console to get? (Xbone or PS4)

Nope. I'm picking up the Xbox One.

#242625 PS4/XB1 launch lineup is "Meh" -Reggie Fils-Aime

Wow seriously this guy needs a reality check big time since  the Wiiu launch was nothing short of a disaster.

#242609 PS4/XB1 launch lineup is "Meh" -Reggie Fils-Aime

IGN

During an interview with IGN, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime defended Wii U's value proposition for consumers this Fall.

As we reported earlier, Nintendo will cut the price of Wii U by $50 in the US starting September 20. So we asked Reggie what are the incentives for consumers to choose Nintendo, especially since their home console is $100 cheaper than its closest competitor.

ā€œItā€™s all about the games. The competitive systems have announced their launch lineups. Iā€™m allowed to say ā€˜Meh,ā€™ā€ Fils-Aime said. ā€œI look at our lineup of titles and I feel good about our lineup. Weā€™ve got Zelda. Weā€™ve got Mario. Weā€™ve got Donkey Kong. In addition to great titles like Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101, I feel very good about our lineup, and I feel very good about the value proposition weā€™re putting out there for the consumer.ā€

But Nintendoā€™s competition is also adding new technologies to the home console experience. They are introducing services like cloud gaming, cross-platfrom play between handheld and home systems, the ability to buy a single game that can be shared on a home and handheld platforms. How does Nintendo plan to compete with those services?

In response, Fils-Aime continued to hammer the point that, in the end, all the consumer cares about is great games and great experiences.

ā€œWeā€™ve got cloud technology that weā€™re delivering with Wii U. Nintendo TVii is all cloud-based technology. But the difference is, we donā€™t talk about the tech. We talk about the experience. We make sure that the consumer has fun with the game experiences that we provide, ā€œ Fils-Aime told IGN.
ā€œAnd so I think as you compare and contrast Nintendo with other players in the space, for us itā€™s about games, about the fun, about the entertainment value, and not about the tech.ā€

I personally think he has no place to say this considering it took Nintendo almost a year to get a game worth buying on the Wii U, hell look at the atrocious 3DS launch.

#240287 Why Not Playing a Console You Own is Insane

I'm so sick of hearing people say "I haven't played anything on my Nintendo console for months!" because that's your own fault, idiot. You're the stupid face who decided that since there is a perceived drought you're going to just ignore it and do absolutely nothing about finding a game you will enjoy playing on it. This isn't Nintendo's fault, this isn't the fault of 3rd party developes, this is ALL you, lazy butt.

What I have I been doing with my Wii U during this crazy "drought" you all speak of, which doesn't exist in reality in any way (so get a reality check),I've been enjoying a ton of Wii Ware titles. That's right! Wii Ware! There are a bunch of awesome games I hadn't yet discovered and I just rediscovered Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King, this time I download the DLC and and am having fun with that, kept me playing my Wii U all weekend actually.

So, to recap. If you're so sure there are no games to play, you're a moron. Also, you have no idea how to use your console. Promptly return it, thanks.

...jerk.

Actually its 50% 3rd-party's fault and 50% Nintendo's fault :/
