#134929 Help - the wii won't show up on my tv now

So somebody removed the plug whilst it was updating? Wouldn't that mean your system is now bricked?

#134919 iPad and Wii U most wanted by Kids (and Adults) this Christmas

I think you mean

I was hoping that this wouldn't happen, but now I need to beat up someone in the 6-12 year old demographic to get my Wii U.

In the end he'll be like;

*Bound in handcuffs*
"Totally worth it"

#133981 Who else is starting to think the Wii U is only as powerful as the 360/PS3?

Posted by Joshua on 19 November 2012 - 07:01 PM

I suggest waiting at least a year in a consoles lifetime before we start to fully criticize it. Let's use one of the latest examples; the 3DS.
Remember the amount of doubt people had for that handheld when it first arrived? Weak, lacking good games, launch titles suck, not enough exclusives, NGP (Now known as Vita) would destroy it, online was lame, "Holding out for 3DSi", too expensive for it's worth, incomplete at arrival etc. Do you hear that anymore now? Nintendo I believe has literally addressed almost every complaint the 3DS received around the launch window timeframe.

In short, just wait for the marinade to sink in THEN we start to munch down on it.
(I was hungry when I posted this, lol)

#133719 Revealing the Wii U Forums' new theme!

So it seems that a new theme has been made and everyone is happy; which is good.
However, people with a rank of Pokey and above are one less of a badge picture...

Data is stored on the outer ring base. I believe the only purpose for the inner ring is to allow it to cling onto a clip (and for your finger :P)

#130595 The Wii U and its problems

Posted by Joshua on 16 November 2012 - 04:22 AM

3. The Wii U needed a hard drive. A large hard drive would have been just as fast as that Solid State Drive, I'm pretty sure of it. It doesn't cost much and who cares if it makes the Wii U bigger?

SSD's are faster than any HDD's out at the moment as far as I'm aware. I know this by experience with my PC.

Lucky guy. I'll be picking mine up during the launch here. Can't wait!

Agreed. Seems like Nintendo are the only one's left who put effort into their game manuals.

I am. It's going to be one of my Wii U launch games. And yes, I believe it will run at a steady 60fps from what I previously saw somewhere on this forum.

#128283 Team Ninja On Wii U Hardware, Bringing QTE Free Ninja Gaiden 3 To PS3 & 360

Posted by Joshua on 12 November 2012 - 03:30 PM

On Wii U power:

"In terms of power, it’s right up there with PS3 and Xbox 360 plus the power to run the extra screen on the controller. There is plenty of power there to use," Hayashi stated. "For all of Nintendo’s hardware, it’s not about power; it’s about how you creatively use the hardware. When we make games for Nintendo, they are going to come and challenge us to use that hardware to make a creative game. That’s the key point from Nintendo that we always feel."

Finally, someone who gets it.
